Internal Bleaching for your teeth!

Let me tell you about the wonder treatment that is internal tooth bleaching. Ok, so it sounds like something altogether unpleasant, but if you have a tooth that is discoloured due to trauma or something that no amount of teeth whitening will fix, then you seriously need to hear about the wonder treatment that I got at My Dental Clinic in Sandymount. Let me bring you back a few years ago, when I was a wee nipper in 4th class. One Sunday in April of that year, my friend and I decided that we were sick of watching golfers try their luck at the Masters. We thought we could give this golf…

I am actually so excited for today’s post. Regular readers of the blog will know that for the few months running up to my wedding, I had a mouth full of braces and I think it is finally time that I shared with you the complete before and after pictures and post because the difference in my teeth, in my smile and in my confidence has really blown my mind. At the end of November 2014 I had Six Month Clear braces applied at My Dental Clinic in Sandymount Dublin. I had toyed with the idea of braces for years, as my teeth were something the really embarrassed me. I…

Bridal Beauty Preparation

Over the past several weeks, quite a number of you have sent me messages asking could I detail what beauty preparation I did in the run up to the wedding. So many people find that the world of beauty throws so much at them in the run up to their big day, that they don’t know what treatments would actually benefit them the most. There is so many treatments out there, and to be fair while there are many wonderful treatments, there are many that are just looking to capitalise on the bridal market. Every woman wants to look her best at all times, but when it comes to your…

A new smile in 6 months

I can’t believe I am actually writing this, but in the next few weeks my braces are coming off ! Can you believe it?  In such a short space of time, my whole smile has completely changed. In fact I have gone from no smile at all, to a complete Cheshire cat grin. The few months that I have worn my braces have absolutely flown by. My six month clear braces were applied on November 22nd in My Dental Clinic and are due for removal mid June. In total I will have worn them for a little under 7 months.  I had to wear mine a little longer than 6…

Six Month clear braces from My Dental and how they have changed my life

Ok, yes that is a bit of a sensational headline, but last weekend while at a blogging event in Galway, something happened that never ever happens. I, Sinead,  smiled in pictures! Yes, I was beaming like a big eejit every single time I stepped into a picture. This is unheard of for me, but I couldn’t help but smile.  It is a very rare occasion that I smile in pictures, so while this might seem like a small thing to most of you, for me this is absolute huge! It is in fact life changing! I have had my Six Month clear braces on nearly 12 weeks now and to say…

A very Special year

I’m not normally one for the personal posts, but considering the year I’ve had, I think that somethings are worth looking back on. Every year brings it’s own ups and downs, but this year has been a fairly spectacular one. 2014 started out on a pretty bum note, as I was still unwell, and faced into another stint in hospital. However, as clichéd as it sounds, what doesn’t  kill you makes you stronger, and I can honestly say this year has brought about some really amazing things. I finally got the all clear health wise. The blog has gone from strength to strength thanks to you guys and I was not only…

Six Month clear braces at My Dental

If you follow The Beautiful Truth on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you may have noticed I’ve gotten a ixet of braces on my nashers. I have finally taken the plunge to get my teeth sorted just in time for my walk up the aisle in July. For the last few years I’ve toyed around with the idea of getting braces, as I didn’t want to be paranoid about how my teeth looked in my wedding photos. It is a rare occasion that you will catch me smiling in a picture and the last thing I wanted was to have a pout in my wedding pictures. The Bridal duck face…
