The Body Shop colour crush eyeshadows

Autumn is my absolute favourite time of the year. I love getting into cosy clothes and boots, my favourite thing about Autumn is the colours. I love nothing more than driving through the country seeing all the gorgeous rustic colours in the trees and on the ground. As corny as it sounds, these colours really fill me full of all kinds of happiness. This Autumn, The Body shop colour Crush eyeshadow range, have captured the autumnal colours perfectly and they really are a thing of beauty. The Body Shop have expanded their Colour Crush eyeshadow range with 6 absolutely stunning eyeshadows. The colours range include a Rustic copper, chocolate brown,…

6 one swipe eyeshadows

Now that I am back in work, I don’t have time to be creating intricate eye makeup looks. For me it all about quick and easy. Recently when reading Beauty Life Michelle’s One swipe eyes post, it got me thinking about the shadows I use to create a quick makeup look. I have picked my favourite 6 shadows for either an easy night or day look. Body shop colour Crush eyeshadow – Golden Cinnamon This has been one of my most used eyeshadows over the last few weeks. It is literally the most perfect colour for Autumn and really makes blue eyes pop. It is a copper toned eyeshadow, with…

Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette

It seems that every few weeks, a new eyeshadow palette is being released. The market is just flooded with eyeshadow palettes claiming to be the next best thing. Normally I tend to steer clear of palettes, as I find I never end up using half the shadows and I prefer to pick up individual colours from Mac or Inglot to create a specific look I want. However, that all changed when I saw the Too Faced Chocolate bar palette. It was love at first sight and I had to have. The hype around this palette was unreal. Every American blogger seemed to be talking about it, and loving it. This…

My top 10 Mac eyeshadows

A few months back I did a post about Mac eyeshadows. I have found myself becoming more daring with my eye makeup since I started blogging, so decided to do an updated top 10 Mac eyeshadows. I have been collecting my Mac eyeshadows for about 2 years now, and I used to buy around 2 a month, sometimes more. I haven’t bought a new Mac eyeshadow in ages, as my 3 palettes are full now and I want to use up what I have. If you know you are going to buy more than 2 or 3 Mac eyeshadows I seriously recommend investing in a palette. An empty palette will cost…

Wet’n’Wild Petal Pusher Palette Review

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months, you will already know that the massively popular US brand Wet n Wild landed on Irish shores last January. If you haven’t already bought at least 1 item from this incredible brand, you seriously need to get yourself down to you nearest Dunnes and get something. Honestly the range is amazing. Already so many of their products have found their way into my favourites. One of my most used Wet n Wild products over the last few months, is the Petal Pusher Palette ( try saying that fast again and again). I adore the looks that this palette creates as…

Chanel Illusion d’Ombre longwear eyeshadow in Fatal

I’m going to begin this post by saying none of these pictures do this eyeshadow justice. I bought this eyeshadow before Christmas and along with my Inglot palette, this has been my go to look because it is just so easy to use. Chanel describe this eyeshadow as a silver purple with plum and burgundy undertones. When blended out on the lid you see the different tones coming through and it really makes my blue eyes pop. It is an unusual texture, but is very easy to work with and blends out beautifully. The eyeshadow comes with a little brush, but to be honest I found it useless and instead…

Inglot Freedom system

Inglot Freedom system There is no denying it. I have an eyeshadow problem and my latest addition to this addiction is the Inglot freedom system. I mean, there is more eyeshadows to choose from than I could possibly dream of. Inglot palette For those of you that don’t know how it works, the Inglot Freedom system gives you the chance to create your own palette. The palettes come in 4s, 5s and 10s costing €6 each no matter the size. Each eyeshadow is €6. Which I think is seriously good value considering the size of the eyeshadows themselves. I bought 5 slot palette with 5 eyeshadows which cost €36 in…

Inglot makeup master class

I am a little late to discovering how great Inglot makeup is. While I was always aware of Inglot, my extra cash always headed into the Mac tills. Lately I have found myself tiring of Mac a little ( maybe because I have almost every eyeshadow) and branching out into other brands. When I saw the chance to take part in an Inglot makeup masterclass I jumped at the chance as I wanted to learn more about the products as well as finally learning how to get glitter to stay on my eyes. Inglot regularly run makeup masterclasses in their different stores. They often post details of these classes on…

The Body Shop Smoky Plum Palette

One of my favourite things about Christmas is all the lovely gift sets a palettes that are launched. The  Smoky eye palette in Plum comes in a sleek little black compact which would be perfect for travelling.  It contains 4 different eyeshadows and 2 little mini brushes.  The eyeshadows are so pigmented and…

My top Mac eyeshadows

So you could say I am a bit of a Mac eyeshadow addict. I firmly believe that it is better to invest in a large palette and fill it up than buying individual potted eyeshadows. They are easier to store and travel with. So when building your collection where do you begin? I have listed below the 10 eyeshadows that every makeup lover should have. How I have narrowed it down to 10 I do not know as there are so many more that I could have added in. For me there is no other eyeshadows that can compare to the Mac’s. Mac Vanilla Vanilla This is a creamy beige…
