November Chic Treat Club box

This month, Chic Treat Club has done something a little different and teamed up with the people at The Cometic outlet to bring you what I consider to be a really good box this month. Eylure Brow Stencils Eylure have recently released a brow range, and my goodness they have been hitting it out of the park. I recently review the brow crayon from this range, which you can read about here. While I personally don’t need brow stencils, due to the fact I’ve embrowdery done on my brows, these are great for people who struggle with putting some shape on their brows. RRP €6.49 W7 Nail polish W7 isn’t…

August Glossybox

It feel like ages since I reviewed a subscription box, but even though I received my usual boxes in July, I was on holidays and everyone had already seen what was inside each box by the time I got home. So I decided not to put up full reviews of last month’s box. This month’s Glossybox is a special box, as Glossybox are celebrating their 3rd birthday. I have had a bit of a roller coast relationship with Glossybox, but I genuinely feel that they are back heading in the right direction. They aren’t there yet, but things are slowly but surely improving. I am finally getting the hang of…

April’s Powder Pocket box

How is it almost May already? This is the fastest year ever! I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get the legs out and feel the heat of the sun on them. This month, the people over at Powder Pocket must be feeling the same as me, this months box focuses on the summer weekend break away. Blank Canvas E26 Blending brush  Not gonna lie, I let out a little yelp when I saw this. Sad I know, but I love seeing makeup brushes in subscription boxes. I am a huge fan of Blank Canvas brushes. I find their brushes are really soft, and while there is…

Glossybox April 2014

So here’s the thing. When I received last months Glossybox and saw the absolute dismal contents I decided that it was time to cancel. When I went into my Glossybox account, I saw that I had enough points to get a free box in April. What better way to give them one last chance. Well here’s the thing. Glossybox really messed up for me this month. I have had my fill of not only their hit and miss boxes, but their absolutely appalling attitude to their Irish customers. Irish customers receive their boxes about a week after their Uk counterparts. This is not always the case, but for the most…

March Powder Pocket Box

This is the 2nd month of my Powder pocket box subscription. For those of you that don’t already know, Powder Pocket are an Irish subscription box that costs €15 a month. One of the things that I really like about Powder Pocket is that they took the money from my account on Monday and I had the box on Friday. This to me is a much better practice, as Glossybox takes it up to 3 weeks before and Chic Treat Club you have to pay 3 months minimum up front. So onto the contents of this box. If I am honest, this box had some really good things, but also…

Glossybox March 2014

Another month, another Glossybox. This is now my 7th Glossybox and I am sad to say it is the last one. Out of 7 boxes I have had 3 good boxes. The September one and last months box. Sadly this box is the nail in the coffin for Glossybox. Each month I pay €16 and all they send out is budget brand makeup, hand or body lotion and sachets of stuff, some of which has even been out of date. Take a look at the contents below and let me know what you think. Sleek Makeup Pout Polish   I am a big fan of Sleek makeup. I have a…

Powder pocket February box

Well my god am I happy I signed up to the Powder Pocket box. I decided to signed up at the end of January, when I got so fed up with the bad run of boxes from Glossybox and thought it was time to give another box a chance. Powder Pocket is an Irish beauty box subscription, based in Tuam. Co.Galway, which was set up last year by a Connacht rugby player called Michael Swift. Yes, you heard me correctly, a rugby player launched a beauty box. Sure it takes all kinds to make the beauty world go round. The fist box was launched in Novemeber and I have been…

Glossybox February 2014

Finally. a Glossybox worth blogging about. After last months diabolical box, people left Glossybox in their droves. The people at Glossybox used social media to ask people to stick with them and that they would take on peoples feelings on last months box on board. I even got a tweet asking me to contact them about my complaints. They even  sent out a survey to see what people wanted from Glossybox and how they felt about the brand. In other words the fear of god was put into them because they were seriously losing out on money. This months box is a very good one. It is absolutely going in…

January Glossybox

Well judging by the Glossybox Facebook page people are seriously not happy with this box. I know every month I seem to complain about it and promise to cancel, but I have serious fear of missing out. I know the minute I cancel the next box will be the best box ever. In saying that, this box was the worst box yet. To me is was just full of cheap rubbish. Glossybox is supposed to be a chance to try out products that you would not normally splash out on, but instead again we get more high street products and products I wouldn’t even dream of buying. What gets me…

December’s Glossybox

Glossybox December 2013 Another month, another Glossybox and this month I actually don’t know how I feel about the box. I am beginning to tire of boring products in my Glossybox. While the box doesn’t cost an arm and a leg it’s €16 and I’m beginning to think it might be better spent elsewhere. I’ve decided that I am going to give them 2 more months before I make up my mind to keep it or not. Glossybox December 2013 Decembers Glossybox is traditionally a special box. I really like the festive packaging. The candy cane paper and green bedding is so cute. However, that is where the festive theme…

Latest in Beauty – The Glamour Beauty Edit box

Before I even begin to review this box, stop what you are doing, go to The Latest in Beauty website and order this limited edition box now, before it runs out. That is just how amazing this box is. I first heard about this box when reading one of my favourite blogs The Sunday Girl. When I saw the contents I knew I had to have it. This is probably one of the best if not the best beauty boxes I have ever received. I mean could I actually gush any more!! So what’s inside? HD Brows eye and brow palette in Foxy I have actually wanted this for ages but…

November’s GlossyBox

It seems like only last week that I was reviewing my October GlossyBox. Seriously where is the time going? October’s GlossyBox was a bit of a disappointment to many people. It’s not like every box can be a wow box, but we do expect a little bit more than what we got last October. Thankfully the people over at GlossyBox upped their game a little more this month. The theme of this months GlossyBox was “The Glossy Wishlist”. The Glossy wishlist gives people a chance to start compiling their Christmas list. While the items in the box would not be something that I would want for Christmas, there are many…

October Glossybox. Contains Spoilers

For those of you that have never heard of GlossyBox, basically it is a monthly beauty subscription. For £10 a months plus postage  (works out about €15) you get 5 beauty treats. There is normally 1 or 2 full size items and then 3 travel size. You can order it on a rolling subscription or pay for a few months up front. It is my little surprise to myself every month. Sure if I don’t treat myself and all that. Septembers GlossyBox Septembers GlossyBox was my first ever beauty subscription box and to say I was delighted would be an understatement. The products were unreal. I actually gasped when I…
