Oh Lordy did I buy makeup!! I bought so much, that I am having to divide all my USA purchases into 3 separate videos!! The first of these videos is all about the drugstore and online buys.
When it comes to drugstore makeup, there seems to be so many more products available in the States and also a much wider variety of shades. I find that the drugstore can be a little overwhelming at times, so it is good to go with a list of what you want to buy. To help make life a little easier for you, I am going to list my favourites places to shop for drugstore makeup.
For those of you that have never heard of Ulta, it is quite possibly the best shop in the world. Ulta has a mix of high end and budget products, as well as a serious range of hair products. It is a little piece of heaven on earth. Ulta always have fantastic offers on and more often than not drugstore products will be buy one get one half off. I have done some serious damage in the past as a result of these deals!! The only down side to Ulta, is that is can be quite hard to find and they don’t accept Irish credit cards online. If you want NYX, this is your best place to get it, as these have by far the most stock compared to everyone else
Walgreens, CVS, Rite aid
I find that a lot of the drugstores stock more or less the products. I tend to buy more in Walgreens as it is always better stocked than the others a lot of the time. One range to look out for in Walgreens is Milani. There eyeshadows, blushers and lip products are fantastic. I stalked I don’t know how many Walgreens to get the Milani Amore matte lip creams, but they were sold out everywhere. It can be hard to get new releases, but if you’re patient you should get the shades you want.
Target is probably one of my favourite shops in the States. It has literally everything in it. Clothes, electronics, food and makeup!!! I find that Target is usually well stock and has a huge range of products. One stand out for me is the Sonia Kashuk. She has some fab makeup brushes and they are really affordable. One thing to point out, for the most part, there are no samples of products. You are buying blind most of the time. That is the sole reason why I don’t have any foundations in this haul. I mean how can anyone match a foundation to their skin without trying it out first!!!
There are some many other places to pick up bargains, but when it comes to drugstore buys, these are by far my favourite shops. Right I will stop waffling and give you guys a chance to watch part one of my USA Haul.
