Youngblood Cosmetics have finally launched in Ireland. Youngblood is firm favourite of many celebrities including Jessica Alba and Jennifer Aniston and on Wednesday Irish beauty bloggers got a little sneak peak at all the lovely new products set to launch around the country in the coming weeks and months.
I have always been a little sceptical of mineral makeup as I didn’t believe it could give me the medium to full coverage that I love. However after a masterclass from Youngblood Pro makeup artist, Philip Luque my views on mineral makeup were quickly changed.
As many of you know I have recently had another operation to make sure that my cancer doesn’t come back. I have a lovely big scar on my neck and while I don’t mind it that much people can’t help but stare. When Philip wanted to show how good the mineral foundation was at covering blemishes and tattoos I quickly offered up my neck as a canvas. The picture below speaks for itself.
To cover my scar Philip used the Youngblood Natural Mineral Loose foundation in Ivory, the ultimate concealer in fair and then he set it with the pressed mineral rice setting powder in light. How I held my emotions in when I was handed the mirror I do not know. I was utterly shocked that a mineral makeup could not only cover my scar completely but it also didn’t feel like I had any product on my very sensitive scar.
There were a few other products that caught my eye, but the one that I am definitely going to rush out to buy is the Youngblood Mineral Radiance blush in splendour. I tried this on my cheeks and it was actually gorgeous. It gave a lovely glow to my cheeks. I’m raging that I didn’t take a picture with it on.
