5 Easy to wear pink lipsticks for summer

DSC_5002I am so over being cold. I don’t think I have been more ready to feel some sun on my skin. To help us get in the mood for the sunshine, I have picked out 5 of my favourite summertime pink lipsticks, that not only look good, but are easy to wear.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick – Obsessed

DSC_5012I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks and as you can see from the picture above, Obsessed has had a lot of love in my life. The Revolution lipsticks have serious payoff in terms of colour .They are extremely hydrating on the lips and they feel really creamy and luxurious.  While Obsessed isn’t extremely long wearing, you would get around 2 hours wear before having to reapply.

Obsessed is described as a bright baby pink colour. This to me is a real daytime lipstick that adds a pop of colour. Perfect for brightening up a dull day . You can buy Obsessed or any of the 22 colour sin the Revolution lipstick line for €19 in Debenhams or House of Fraser.

Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick – As you want it Victoria

DSC_5015For some reason when I wear this I think of Victoria Beckham. Not that she is known for her pink lipstick!! It must be the name.

This is another much-loved lipstick in my collection and when you look at the colour, it is not hard to see why!! As you want it Victoria is a real show stopping fuchsia pink colour. It is a blue toned pink so suits my skin tone perfectly. The formula feels creamy on the lips and as the name suggests it is very moist.( ewwww I hate that word) . It is relatively long wearing with about 2 hours wear before it begins to wear. However, I find the more that you reapply the longer it will last, as it begins to stain the lips. If you like a strong pop of colour then this is the lipstick for you. You can buy it on any Rimmel stand for €7.95.

Inglot lipstick – 254

DSC_5020This lipstick smell delicious!!! I know that’s a rather weird comment to make about a lipstick, but it reminds me of refresher sweets! If you haven’t tried Inglot lipsticks, first you need to take a long hard look at yourself and ask why in god’s name you haven’t bought at least one. Then you need to get to your nearest Inglot store and buy at least 5 of them!!

The Inglot lipstick in 254 is a  beautiful pale pink. It doesn’t wash out the skin like some pale pinks can, but instead adds life to your face. It is very creamy and really long-lasting for a cream type lipstick. I would get a good 2 hours out of it without having to top up. The pigmentation is fantastic and is very true to the colour that you see in the tube. It is moist on your lips and has a vitamin e and Apricot kernel oil moisturising formula. It is the perfect colour for summer, as it looks bright and fresh. You can buy it in any Inglot store for €14 or online here.

Rimmel lasting finish by Kate- 20

DSC_5014Rimmel Long Lasting finish by Kate in number 20 is the most gorgeous Fuchsia pink lipstick. This leans more on the mauve side ,where as As you want it Victoria was more of a red toned pink. This lipstick is the closest thing to Barbie pink I have ever tried and seriously, who doesn’t want Barbie pink lipstick?

This bright pink lipstick, is such a gorgeous colour that would suit a variety of skin tones. This is a lovely soft creamy texture. It applies like butter onto the lips and doesn’t feather or bleed out during the day. It is long-lasting and I would get somewhere between, 2-3 hours wear without touch up, unless I am drinking or eating. This does transfer, there have been many nights that my glass has ended up with pink all around the edges, so be warned on that one ladies. You can buy it on any Rimmel stand for €6.99 of online here.

NYC Expert Last lip colour -Creamy Mauve 449

DSC_5010Don’t you just love when you fall in love with a product that is less than €3!!! That is exactly what has happened with myself and the NYC Expert last lip colour in creamy mauve. For such a budget friendly product, this little bullet of goodness packs some serious punch when it comes to pigmentation. The finish to this lipstick is described as a satin matte, and they do remind me of the formula of the Mac satin finish.  Creamy mauve isn’t overly long wearing with around 2 hours wear without having to top up, but to be fair that seems to be the average length of time I get out of a lipstick on my lips. Colour wise this is technically a nude, but in my eyes it wears as a mauve light pink colour. You can buy Creamy Mauve on any NYC stand for €2.99

Love both those RImmel Lipsticks! I wore No 20 out myself at the weekend and it was so nice, even after a couple of drinks it wore away fairly evenly! And also love that NYC one, such a lovely colour! 🙂

The NYC one looks lovely! I don’t have many pink lipsticks at all, I think I have two from Wet n Wild, theirs are nice.
