Since my tween and teen girl gift ideas went down so well ( you can read it here ) , I thought it only fair to do one for the boys too. Although, to be fair, this is fairly gender neutral, so is perfect for girls too and even men!! Hopefully you find this useful

I won’t even pretend to know what does and doesn’t make a good gaming chair but according to my 8 year old, it is something every boy or girl needs in their life. Sliders
I don’t know which is worse. The fact that they want sliders or the fact that they wear them with socks!! Maybe I am far too much of an elder millennial to understand this but sliders are an “in” thing. Popular styles include Nike Benassi, Adidas Adilette and Crocs Classic Slides! You can find some here.
Electronic Dartboard
This is another super buy from Decathlon. We have this in our playroom already and the boys love it. It has LED scoring displays and multiple game modes for enhanced gameplay. The darts also don’t make dents in the wall for those that are not blessed with accuracy . Like with most things from Decathlon, it is also very well priced at €25. You can buy it here.
Camera
I am a big lover of a good camera. Yes, we have amazing camera’s on our phone, but there is something special about learning how to use a camera properly and it can really bring such joy! Camera’s can range in price massively! Personally, I don’t think it is worth buying a cheap point and shoot camera, because the camera on our phones are better than that. However, the Sony ZV1 is great mid range camera, that has lovely picture quality, great video quality, is easy to use and is perfect for any budding content creator. I recently bought this camera for myself and I love it! Keep an eye on amazon. I managed to get one that was “used” but literally looked like it hadn’t left the box! I got it for a lot cheaper too. Pickleball set
Another new trend that seems to be passing me by but lots have said it is great fun. Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is played on a smaller court with a perforated plastic ball They say it is accessible to players of all ages and skill levels, so maybe it is something I shouldn’t let pass me by! Electronic Drum kit
This is on my radar because it keeps going on an off Conor’s Christmas list. Music is always a good gift. The kit I am linking here is fairly basic but you can really get some fantastic ones. You can also get drum pad machines for that little bit cheaper too. Best part about all of this, they can wear headphones when doing this! So you can still protect your peace. Weighted blanket
This is another one that is on the list for Santa in this house. Weighted blankets can offer so many benefits including improved sleep quality and reduced anxiety. The deep pressure stimulation provided by these blankets can help calm the nervous system, potentially leading to better focus and emotional regulation during the day. With their feet growing at the rate of knots, buying good runners is always a well received present. Just suss out the type they are after. Buy these on cyber week. You will get your discounts for the sports shops around that time and take the sting out of the prices.
Wreck This Journal
This is such a cool little book. The purpose of this journal, is to encourage the owner to literally wreck it. It gives them permission to do crazy things like poke holes in pages or spill your drink on it – it’s basically permission to be a total delinquent with a book! I am not going to pretend that I know why kids love these so much, but Conor is dying for some of these for his bedroom!! An Xplora watch is a smart watch that has GPS, text and phone call capabilities. Parents can set what numbers children can contact from the watch. There is a step counter on it too ( although I wouldn’t be a lover of counting steps for kids). Parents can keep an eye on kids location if they want to and this provides a perfect alternative to keeping an eye on where the kids are and having contact with them without giving them a smart phone. I am a big Playstation fan. I could never get use to the controls of the xbox. I have a Playstation digital and it has its pros and cons.
