Anastasia Beverly Hill Single eyeshadows

DSC_7117Ladies let me introduce you to my new obsession! The Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows! Yes, not so long ago the brow genuius herself expanded her beauty range into the single eyeshadow market and am I delighted that she has! Oh Anastasia, you really do know how to make a woman part with her money.

When in Floirda during the summer, I decided that I would buy a few eyeshadows to see how they fared out. Individual shadows are sold in Macys and online through the Anastasia Beverly Hills website. The Anastasia website does ship to Ireland, but like with Makeup Geek, don’t order too much so that you don’t get caught for customs at the door.

The first shadow is an absolute must for blue and green eyes. Copper shimmer is as the name suggests a copper colour with the faintest hint of a sparkle rather than a full on shimmer. I really haven’t seen or tried a colour like this before, it is so unique on the lid and really has become a firm favourite of mine. Copper shimmer is really pigmented and easy to blend. There is little or no fall out.  I love to wear this as an all over the lid colour for work, or as a lid colour for a fancier night time look. This is such a long wearing shadow. I can wear it from 7 in the morning to late at night with little or no wear down.

DSC_7134Oh Lord give me strength. Sienna is just an eyeshadow and a half. If you’re a fan of warm browns, then you need this in your life. No lie, this colour is my everything and has taken over Makeup Geeks Cocoa bear as my most used shadow. As you can see from the picture above, this has gotten a lot of love. Sienna is an ultra matte formula and is a really warm red brown colour. I just adore this as a crease colour and more often than not when you see a warm red brown on my eyes, this is the colour that  I am wearing.

DSC_7140I know that this looks like the above two shadows, but Bengal is different from either Sienna or Copper shimmer. Bengal has a velvet finish, which ABH describes as a ” weightless formula with a buttery texture and soft sheen”. Bengal is a medium warm brown, although it looks a little more orange toned in the picture. I find this brilliant as an all over the lid colour with Sienna in the crease. Or else I wear it on the outer third of the eye when wearing a lighter colour on the lid.

Burnt matte orange is as the same suggests a matte formula organ toned light brown colour. While I wear this colour a lot, it is hard to describe it as a stand out colour, as it is more of the quiet hard working type colour. For me this is a transition colour that is brilliant for creating a really warm brown smoky eye. In fact I guess you’re seeing a trend here with the types of colours I like. I am all about the warm eyes!!

Fawn is probably my least worn colour, not for any other reason except that I have so many shadows and this is only one I take out when I am going for a little more of a detailed look. In saying that, Fawn is also excellent as a light warm brown all over the lid colour. In fact his is a really work appropriate lid colour.

Screen Shot 2015-10-02 at 11.31.12I honestly can’t recommend these shadows enough. They are extremely pigmented, buttery and easy to use. There is an absolutely massive range of colour and I have quite a few more on my list. You can buy them here.  (Affiliate link)
