Thankfully due to good genes and regular facials, I am blessed with fairly good skin. I am lucky, as my skin cooperates most of the time, but having no Thyroid and being on different medications can throw a few spanners in the works every so often. My skin can go from being dry to oily skin in the space of a few days!! For the most part it is normal / combination. However, over the last few weeks the amount of people who have commented on how well my skin looks is unreal. Even my mother said something, and she never notices anything like that! So what is the wonder product that has done this?
I firmly believe that a trip to Neelu’s in Arnotts, for what I can only describe as the most amazing facial I have ever received has helped my skin along massively. When I left Neelu’s my skin was literally glowing. However, a facial alone won’t keep your skin looking good for weeks and weeks later. The reason my skin is so glowy, is down to my new Holy Grail moisturiser The Cream from The Pink Cow Brand.
I received The Cream back in early October and my first initial impression was one of great indifference. I was a little turned off by the sweet smell and I thought it felt a little unusual on my skin, when applied. However, due to the fact I had run out of all other moisturisers, I decided to give it a go and my god am I delighted I did. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this moisturiser.
The Cream Face claims to smooth lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone, increase firmness and elasticity, moisturise, improve collagen production and a whole heap more. Sounds fantastic right? It really is, but how does it do this. Well it all comes down to a lovely word called Colostrum.
If I am honest, it was the word Colostrum that initially turned me off this moisturiser. You see I heard that the type of colostrum used in The Cream Face came from a cow and it contained all sorted of vitamins and minerals to support the development and repair of cells and skin tissue. Sounds great right? Except I thought it was what came from a bull. I thought it was the stuff that came from a bull to make baby cows!!! You can see why I was turned right off!!! Thankfully it isn’t what I thought it was. Colostrum is in fact the first milk given to mammals after the birth of their young and is what kick-starts their own immune and cell regeneration systems. As The Cream is colostrum based using the first milk of cows, it contains all the wonderful ingredients that that help to improve the appearance of our skin!
The cream itself is fairly light on the skin. It does have a very creamy texture when applied, but I found it soaked into the skin very quickly and I can feel the benefits of moisturised skin almost instantly, once applied. It gives a fabulous base for your foundation, as I find my skin is like a blank canvas from the prolonged use of The Cream Face.
As I mentioned above, it does have a scent to it, but it is more of a vanilla sweet scent, rather than something bad. I however had the thoughts of the bull stuff in my head when I first smelt it and nearly died!!!! I really should read the fine print before I use products.
One of the things I really love about The Cream is that it is 100% natural. It has 0% parabens, 0% preservatives, 0% chemicals. It is instead packed full of natural ingredients such as Organic Aloe Vera, Vitamins A,C,D,E,B1,B2, B6 and B12 as well as a whole other heap of ingredients that you can read about on their website here. Not only that, but The Cream Face is said to be suitable for all skin types.
Ladies, I honestly can’t tell you enough how much I am loving this moisturiser. I am not normally one to rave about skin care, as I tend to find it a little boring, but this stuff is unbelievable. Without tooting my own horn, my skin looks smashing lately. It feels smooth, has hardly any open pores and it is glowing. I mean, I can genuinely see a brightness in my skin that I have not seen in a very long time. I actually feel that I look younger. I know that is a very sweeping statement, but my skin is in the best condition it has been in for as long as I can remember. I often get sent out skin care products to try from different companies, but if I am being honest, I am reluctant to put anything else on my skin but The Cream Face in the run up to the wedding! Ok so only time will tell, but having used this for over 2 months now, this has gained Holy Grail status.
It retails for €49.95 for 50ml and you can buy it online here. However, there are a small number of retailers in Ireland that are currently stocking this wonder product and The Pink Cow brand has confirmed that each stockist will take phone orders. I know it’s a bit of a hassle, but trust me, it is so worth it. For Irish stockists you can find all the details here.

Your skin Sinead looks amazing! I wonder is this similar to MooGoo, i think they might use the same ingredient but I’m not 100% sure!

MooGoo was originally made to soothe and heal cows’ udders! It’s useful for irritated skin but totally different to Pink Cow Cream.

i didn’t know that. thanks a million

great results for your skin but spare a thought for the utter cruelty involved in tearing a newborn calf from its mother (Male calves most likely killed soon after birth ) so that the colostrum can be extracted for use in cosmetics!
thepinkcowbranDJanuary 15, 2015 at 10:34 am
Please note that all colostrum used in theCream range is the over supply beyond the calves needs. It’s 100% ethically collected from happy, grass-fed New Zealand cows – each individually traceable.

I saw someone comment about Moogoo at the top of the page and I had to leave a comment. This moisturiser sounds very much like Moogoo anti ageing face cream. It’s an Australian brand (Moogoo) and it is all made in Australia from 100% natural ingredients. I used to have oily, problem skin with pimples and blemishes and then I tried the oil face wash, rose hip oil and the anti ageing face cream. BEST THING I EVER DID.
So many people use those mainstream cleansers which strip the skin of its natural oils, making it dry so you then buy their moisturiser making them more money. It’s all a scam!
When I first started cleansing my face with oil I was sooooo against it, I thought it was gross and was going to break me out. I was SO wrong! In the first week my skin started soaking up all the oils and I even put rose hip oil all over my face at night to sleep in, after the oil cleanser.
I do not break out, I do not have redness, my skin has a beautiful glow everyday and I now have, not oily, not dry but completely normal, glowing skin.
If you ever want to try a new cleanser, despite yours working for you already, I recommend trying the Moogoo oil cleanser, the anti ageing face cream, rose hip oil and the 3 vitamins eye serum is fantastic as well!
Ps. Love your blog!
