Beauty Favourites 2013

I can’t believe 2013 is over. It was such a fast year, it has flown by. It was such and eventful year for me but also a very enjoyable one too. 2013 saw my makeup collection grow so much I had to invest in new storage! I know I have a problem. Picking my favourite products of 2013 was hard as I had so many but the products above are my most used products of 2013. There would have been 10 only that photoshop was acting up on me and I couldn’t fit the 10th one in!!!

1. Rimmel Moisture renew – As you want it Victoria

This lipstick featured in my favourites before . It is a gorgeous fuchsia colour, that as the name suggests is moist on the lips. It has really good staying power and actually stains the lips so that when it wears off your lips still have some colour. It costs €7.79 and can be purchased on all Rimmel stands or here.

2. Soleil Tan De Chanel

Soleil Tan De Chanel has probably been my most used product of 2013. I bought it in July and have used it almost everyday since. It is a cream bronzer that is really natural for contouring.  It gives your skin a lovely sun kissed and healthy glow. It is matte and very easy to work with once you have the right brush. I use the Real Techniques buffing brush or an angled brush.

3. Mac Painterly Paint pot

This is another product that I use every day. I use it as an eyeshadow base to keep my eyeshadows on longer and stop them from creasing. It can be used on it’s own, with a bit of liner to create a natural look. Painterly paint pot is a skin coloured eyeshadow base and costs €19.50 and can be bought here.

4. This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

If you have problems sleeping this is the product for you. Basically you spray it on the 4 corners of you pillow and it will have you off in the land of nod in no time. It costs €20 and can be bought in Boots and Arnotts. You can read a full review here.

5. Youngblood Mineral lash primer

I use this lash primer before I put on my mascara. It separates and lengthens the lashes as well as nourishing them. This is yet another product that I find myself reaching for nearly everyday. You can read a full review here and you can buy it for €32 on the Closer 2 Fabulous website here.

6. Maybelline Instant age rewind concealer

I have really bad black circles and this stuff is the business for getting rid of them. It drys quickly and doesn’t sit in the fine lines or creases. I prefer this concealer to my high end ones as it covers my dark circles much better and is great for contouring.  It costs €11.99 and can be bought on all Maybelline stands or here.

7. Make Up For Ever liquid lift foundation

I bought this in November and have used no other foundation since. If your skin is anyway dry this is the foundation for you. It has excellent staying power and lasts most of the day without topping up. It costs €35 and can be bought from the Make Up For Ever. You can read a full review here.

8.Babyliss pro curling wand

This has surpassed my GHD as my most used hair tool. I love this wand. It is easy to use and creates the most beautiful curls. I bought the biggest barrel wand, as the smaller one creates more Irish dancing curls than barrel curls and waves that I like. It costs €39.95 and can be bought here

9. Hydraluron Moisture booster

Many of you will not be surprised that I have this in my favourites for 2013, as I have harped on about it non stop on The Beautiful Truth Facebook page. This stuff is amazing. You put it on under your moisturiser and it locks the moisture into your skin. If your skin is anyway dry or lacking moisture then you need this in your life. You can read a full review of Hyrdaluron here.
