Beauty Gift Ideas

Some people think buying for the beauty lover is hard, as they have everything they already need. Trust me, a true beauty lover
might have products to suit all their needs, but there is always loads to fill their wants!

To help you make your shopping a little bit easier, I have put together a gift guide with loads of ideas, so that all your shopping can be done from the comfort of the couch.

Makeup Brushes

There are a few different options when it comes to makeup brushes. You can buy loads of single brushes, or you can buy a set. I have picked 3 sets to suit different budgets below.

The Beautiful Truth Brush set from Nima brush

Last year I contacted Niamh from Nima brush and asked her if she could do me a favour and put all of my favourite brushes into one set. I am always recommending these brushes, that I thought for gifting it might be easier to have them all in one set.

This set literally contains all the brushes I use to do a full face of makeup. There are 10 brushes in the set including foundation, contour, powder, highlighter and loads of blending brushes for you eyes.  It is valued at €145 but retails at €105. However if you use the code thebeautifultruth you can get a further 10% off making it €94.50. You can pick the set up here.

The Essential brush set from Aimee Connolly

This is another lovely little brush set that would make a lovely gift. Containing a foundation brush, blusher/ setting brush, 3 eyeshadow brushes and an eyebrow brush, this set really has got your essentials covered. The quality of these brushes are also lovely and they wash really well. I have my set almost a year and they are still perfect! The essential Brush set is €55 and you can get it here.

Blank Canvas Brush Cracker

If you’re looking for something small for a secret Santa or stocking filler, have a look at the Blank Canvas Red cracker. It contains their famous F20 foundation brush and also the e22 concealer brush. This set is €18 from Cloud10beauty here.

Eyeshadow palettes

The list of eyeshadow palettes are endless!! Rather than giving a full review on each, I am going to list ones that either I have and love or else ones that I have on my Wishlist!!

Huda Dessert Dusk

Out of all the Huda palettes this is my most used. Colour while they look mad are versatile, they blend beautifully and last an age on the eye! You can buy it on Cult beauty for €63 here   .

Huda Rose Gold Remastered

Yes another Huda palette but I just have to be honest and say even at 65€ they are worth every cent and honestly my most used palettes. They come everywhere with me. This one is the remastered Rose Gold as the formula of the was made even better. Again you can get this on Cult Beauty for €63 here.

BPerfect Carnival palette

This is another super palette, with incredible pigment and longevity on the eyes. It looks like it wouldn’t be a palette you can get much wear our of day to day, but I have used this palette an insane amount ! You can buy it from Cloud10 beauty here for 44.95

Too Faced Gingerbread palette

This is high up on my Christmas Wishlist. I have had a little play with this in Debenhams and it feels unreal!!! It is hard to get your hands on but keep an eye on Cult Beauty for when it comes back into stock. It is €44 on Cult Beauty here.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Kit

Zoeva is a fantastic brand with high pigment and are easy to use. For Christmas they have brought out a number of different eyeshadow kits that contain and eyeshadow palette, highlight and blusher palette, lip pencil and lip product. They cost €43 and can be bought from Cult Beauty here.

Huda Nude Palette

I couldn’t not include this. The amount of people that have this on their Christmas list is insane!! I had a play with it in Arnotts and I have to admit while I wasn’t wowed by the initial brand pictures, the little play I had gave me all the wants. You can get it on Cult Beauty here.

Skincare

Skincare is very subjective and it’s important that we use what is right for our skin and not what’s right for someone else. However with that being said, if you know what skincare someone uses, you can get serious good value on gift sets at this time of year!

Image Skincare

Image have a number of different sets to pick from. My favourite being the set that contains the Hyaluronic acid serum, the ageless cleanser and the vital C mask. That being said there is something for all Image fans in their giftsets. Most Image salons stock the gift sets but Skinshop.ie also have them in stock online here.

Yonka Skincare

Yonka is another brand that I adore! I love the ethos behind this brand. The original family that started Yonka are still very much involved and there is so much love put into each product! my can’t live without product is the phyto Contour for eyes, as it helps the look a more awake then they are!!! There are lots of sets to pick from and you can find them on Renaissance skincare here.

Ella and Jo 3 in 1 Hyaluronic Skin mist

If you’re looking for something small for a secret Santa, the Ella and Jo 3 in 1 Hyaluronic Skin mist is excellent. The mix of ingredients helps hydrate, prep and sooth the skin and it just feels beautiful to spritz on the face in the morning!! You can buy it from Ella and Jo for €20 here.

Dermalogica

I couldn’t do skincare gift sets and not include Deremalogica. I firm favourite of so many, they have a range of gift sets to suit every budget. Check our Dermalogica for a full list of gift sets.

Hair Tools

Loreal steampod

This is my most raved about haircare product. If you’ve thick hair this is the best straighter hands down! it isn’t very portable but it is well worth the spend!! Look Fantastic seem to have it cheapest at €179 here.

Hot tools curl bar

I have been trialing the Hot tools curl bar over the past few weeks. If you’re a fan of a looser more union curl you will love this. It is easy to use, heats up fast and it does give a lovely curl. The curl drops to a more wavy undone look rather than a obvious curl. You can buy it from many salons but Amazon have it for €112 here.

Babyliss pro wand

This is my go to wand for curling my hair. This is cheap and cheerful. Gives a tighter curl than the Curl Bar and I find it easy to use! It takes a while to heat up but I would recommend wearing protective gloves once it is hot! Look Fantastic have it in stock for €46.45 here.

Laniblo Hairdryer

I have been using this hairdryer for a little over two years now and I would be lost without it. It dries my thick hair incredibly fast. Has a really long lead and the fact it now comes in Rose Gold just makes it look as good as it perfumes. You can buy it here for €99.99

Containing a 250ml shampoo , a 250ml conditioner and a 125ml hydrate shine max. You can pick the set up for €50 on Millies.ie here.
