Caudalie Makeup removing cleansing oil

DSC_9293For one reason or another over the past number of months, I have taken great care checking the ingredients of products that I put on my skin. While this is hard to do with makeup, it is easier to get more natural  and yet still effective skincare products. One skin care brand that uses natural ingredients and yet works a treat on the skin, is Caudalie.

Caudalie is a French brand that uses no parabans, Phenoxyethanol or sulphates and is not only cruelty free but it doesn’t use any animal derived raw materials. Having had health issues, omitting chemicals from entering my body where I can is something that I am trying to focus more on, as I have been led to believe that the less chemicals in my body the better. Makes sense really. Omitting as many chemicals in products as possible is also key for pregnant woman, as it is important that they keep the products they use as natural as possible so as the baby is no ingesting any chemicals.

DSC_9300Over the past few months, one of the skincare products I have used is the Caudalie Makeup removing cleansing oil. I am not normally a fan of oils for removing makeup, only because of the oily texture on my skin and not anything else, but the Caudalie cleansing oil I have really fallen for.

Using 3 pumps of the oil and rubbing it gently into my skin, the cleansing oil easily breaks down makeup, even the most stubborn eyeliner, the Inglot gel liner, doesn’t stand a chance against this cleanser. I actually sound like I am writing a script for Cillit bang or something!!! Once you have broken down all the makeup, apply some water to wash the product off. At this point I tend to remove the final bits of oil with a muslin cloth to make sure the skin is completely clean.

DSC_9303While I am not a fan of the feeling of an oil cleanser on the skin, I actually don’t mind the feeling of this one on my face. I think it is the fact that it breaks down my makeup so fast that really makes it shine for me. Not only that but it leaves the skin feeling super clean.

If however you have oily skin, I wouldn’t say this is the best product for you. Caudalie suggest that this cleanser is more suited to dry, sensitive or combination skin.

You can buy the cleansing oil in Arnotts and some pharmacies such as Foodys, however, I don’t have price for the cleanser in those stores. You can however buy it online here for €19.95

I’ve been loving oil cleansing recently! This one sounds amazing though 🙂 Being cruelty free and natural is extremely important to me and it’s great that this one is good for dry sensitive skin which is what I have!

I’m trying to get my skin in good order, and really enjoying your recommendations. Few health issues playing havoc with my skin. Can I ask is there mineral oil in any products you’ve tried lately?
