Cocoa Brown Tanning wipes

screen-shot-2017-01-19-at-15-26-29As a beauty lover, it pains me to admit, that when it comes to developing tan, I am an absolute disaster. No matter how careful I am, I always make an absolute mess of it. It is either patchy, too dark, streaky and don’t even get me started on the hands! I know I have a tendency to over exaggerate in my life, but trust me, I don’t get on well with developing tan. This probably explains why I go through bottles and bottle of the Cocoa brown tanning gels!!!

screen-shot-2017-01-19-at-15-26-55Early last summer, Marissa Carter announced, that due to popular demand, she was bringing out the much loved Cocoa brown tan in tanning wipe form. I know, Tanning wipes! How very dated! Many people turned their noses up at the thoughts of wipes when the announcement was made. Memories of orange skin from using wipes in our teens, was still fresh in many minds. Could Cocoa Brown honestly make a wipe that didn’t leave us looking like a Donald Trump parody? It was with that orange skin in mind, that I decided to try out the Cocoa Brown Tanning Wipes.

screen-shot-2017-01-19-at-15-27-15The tanning wipes come in a small little packet that somewhat resembles that of a packet of makeup wipes. There are 20 wipes in the packets and they’re  said to be suitable for both face and body. In fact, the ingredients in all Cocoa Brown tan, mean that they can be used on the face. The ingredients used won’t block up your pores leading to breakouts.

As I mentioned above, when it comes to apply tan, I am nothing short of atrocious. However, I found these wipes an absolute pleasure to use. While there was no real guide colour, I found it easy to apply my tan evenly by opening out the wipe and rubbing my body as I would with a face cloth! For the top half of my body I used 3 wipes and I used 4 for my legs. Keep in mind that I am generously sized, so smaller frames won’t use as many. To avoided orange hands, I washed the palm of my hands and between my fingers when I was finished my application.

It wasn’t an overly dark tan but rather resembled someone who had spent a week in the South of France, lightly tanning. It really gave my skin a lovely tanned glow, and not an obvious tanning look. Not only that but there wasn’t a streak in sight and the palm of my hands were tan free!I know in the pictures above there is only a slight change in my colour but in real life it is a little more. I genuinely love the colour these wipes give.

screen-shot-2017-01-19-at-15-25-28Another plus was how the tan wore. It wore off evenly and actually just faded over time. If I am honest, I didn’t even notice it fading, as there wasn’t a patch in sight! This was a result and a half because I hate scrubbing tan off!

I would be inclined to say that these wipes are more suited to someone who likes a lighter tan, or ladies with paler skin. If you’re looking for a deeper tan, I suggest trying the Cocoa Brown Dark tan or in February,  the even darker shade will be available. However, if you’re like me and want something to take the extra white look off during the week, then I honestly can’t recommend these enough. I was originally give a packet to trial, but I have since repurchased my own packet, as I genuinely love these. They are my saviour from tanning disasters. ! You can buy them from most chemists, Pennys and online on Molloy’s Pharmacy here.

While these were originally a press sample, I have repurchased my own packet
