Are your pores causing you an issue? Do they always seem like a shining light on your face that no amount of makeup will cover? Does you makeup sink into your pores making them looking like gaping holes for the world to see? Have you tried the Estee Lauder Idealist Pore minimising serum yet?
When it comes to skin care, in my opinion Estee lauder have hit the nail on the head so many times. Both the Advanced night repair for face and eyes are two of my favourite skin care products, and ones that I have repurchased time and time again. In fact, I honestly don’t think that there is an eye cream out there that has worked better for me than the Advanced night repair eye cream. I always have a little tub of this on the go. So when I received a bottle of the Idealist Pore minimising serum from The Loop, you can only imagine my delight.
Estee Lauder claim that the pore minimising serum will reduce pore size by a third, help with flaky skin, redness and fine lines. Whilst giving the skin smoothness and luminosity. Sounds like a miracle in a bottle right? So does it actually work?
Let’s talk pores first. While pores aren’t a massive issue for me, I do have a few around the nose area and cheeks that bug me from time to time. Yes they are not massive and most of the time they can be covered fairly easily, but when I applied the serum onto this area, it did reduce them quite a bit, both instantly and over the past few weeks. Estee Lauder claim that you will see results in 4 weeks and I have, but keep in mind that my pores were not massive. I found that this serum acted a little like a good polly filler. I know that doesn’t sound glamorous, but basically it filled the pores and tightened them up so that I had a lovely smooth canvas to work with when applying my makeup.
Not only does the serum help with pores, I found that it gave my skin a really beautiful even finish after I applied this. While yes it is a serum, I found it acted like a fantastic primer too. It smoothed out any areas that I had problems with texture or fine lines. Did it reduce my fine lines? No, but then I find it very hard to tell if lines have been reduced or not, as I think only time will tell on something like this.
The texture of the Idealist Pore Minimising serum is pure luxury. It is so silky on the skin and doesn’t sit on top of the skin. I tend to leave it for about 5 minutes before I apply my makeup, so that it has time to do what it needs to do. I applied the serum after my hydraluronic acid and before my moisturiser.
I 100% feel that the Idealist pore minimising serum worked. It really feel that not only did it help with the reduction of pores, but it left my skin lovely and smooth and yes it did give a luminosity too. If you’re in the market for a skin care treat that does exactly what it promises to do, then I highly recommend this.
Like with most skincare items or indeed perfume or makeup that I recommend, if you’re going through the airport, or know someone going through Dublin or Cork airport, I would suggest that you try and pick this up in The Loop. Yes I know that that sounds like I am plugging The Loop because they sent me this, but lets call a spade a spade here, you’re gonna make big savings buying it this way and good skincare doesn’t come cheap. You can buy a 50ml bottle on the high street for €78 or you can make a saving to spend on more makeup by buying it in The Loop for €64.60! The figure speak for themselves. If you’re not jetting off anytime soon and don’t want to hassle someone too much, you can buy online and get them to collect it on the way home through the click and collect service. You can pick the Idealist pore minimising serum up here.
