Bless me father for I have sinned. I’ve been cheating on my beloved Anastasia Brow wiz, with the Eylure brow crayon and I’ve really enjoyed it too! Eylure, the masters in eyelashes, have now ventured into the world of brows, and have done so with serious style and left me with gorgeous looking brows. For the past few weeks, I’ve been using the Eylure brow crayon on my brows, with some fantastic results.
The Eylure brow crayon is a soft, smudge proof brow pencil. As it is a crayon, it is much softer than a traditional brow pencil, meaning that the colour transfers onto the brow much easier and doesn’t drag during application. The texture is also extremely easy to work with and if you make a mistake, it is easy to tidy up! I much prefer this type of formula, to a traditional brow pencil, as I find that gives a much more natural and softer looking brow. Nobody wants to look like they applied their brows with shoe polish!
The brow crayon has a waxy feel to it, and as a result, it keeps any unruly brows in place all day. I found that my brows wore very well throughout the day and the colour stayed strong and didn’t wear away.
Since I have embrowdery done, I don’t actually need to do a lot to my brows, but I still like to use brow products to enhance the colour of my brows, rather than do anything with the shape. The Eylure brow crayon comes in 3 shades. Dark brow, mid brown and blonde. I’ve been using mid brown and find that it is the perfect shade for my colouring. The crayon dispenses the perfect amount of colour, but if you use a heavier hand, you can build up the colour to make it darker if you so wish.
While I find the brow crayon fantastic, it does have one fault. The brow crayon is a retractable style product, which you twist up and down at your will. The one place were I think Eylure have fallen down is that the nib of the crayon is a little too thick. I would much prefer if it was more delicate, as this would allow for a more detailed application. Don’t get me wrong, it still works great, but it would actually be the perfect brow product if the nib was thinner.
As most of you know, I adore the Anastasia brow wiz, but since receiving the Eylure brow crayon, I have honestly been reaching for it more than the brow wiz. I just love the colour pay off on my brows and it goes on much faster too.
If you’re in the market for new brow products, I can’t recommend the Eylure brow crayon highly enough and at €8.99 it is quite the bargain. Eylure brow products can be bought in Sam McCauley’s, Shaws department store and McCabes pharmacies.
