Glossybox May 2014

photoHere is the thing. Last month I said I was cancelling my Glossybox Subscription, and I was full sure that I had, but in reality I didn’t actually click the submit button to finalise the cancelation. I know, I know rookie mistake. I am a full on clown. So this month I got what is my final ever Glossybox and in many ways, I am glad I got this box.

I decided to present the contents of this box in a brand new way and I have filmed my very first YouTube video. I am really nervous about posting this. I feel that I am really putting myself out there, but I am a strong believer in pushing your boundaries. I discovered a few things when filming this. Firstly I could actually talk for Ireland. I mean there was no shortage in me finding things to say. I knew I could talk, but seriously there was nobody in the room and I talked and talked.

Secondly, I have had numerous friendly arguments with my boyfriend about my accent, as I have always insisted that I had a neutral accent. Eh no. I have a Dub accent and there is no hiding it. I am shocked and how much of a Dub I sound!! I also sound like a Billy Barry kid gone wrong. You would swear I was reading from a script. I suppose this is what it is all about. It is a massive learning curve. I have already learnt so much from my first experience with the editing and filming process. I know now how to fix mistakes I made this time, but I am sure you will forgive me since it is my first time.

I really enjoyed filming this video and if it goes down well I might do some more. Hope you guys like it. May Powder pocket box

Earlier in the week my May Powder Pocket box arrived. The theme of this month’s box was “sweet Treat”. Let’s be honest, Who doesn’t like a sweet treat. June Powder Pocket box

The Theme of this month’s box was Viva Brazil. The people at Powder Pocket want to bring a little bit of the Brazilian samba to our lives. Chic Treat Club Box – June

This month saw the 6th instalment from the new Irish subscription box company Chic Treat Club. These guys really hit the ground running when the launched in January, and they haven’t slowed down since. The brands they have been working with are impressive and rumour has it, that it is an ever growing list. To make their service even better, they have now launched a month by month subscription service, at the price of €16.95 a month. November Chic Treat Club box

This month, Chic Treat Club has done something a little different and teamed up with the people at The Cometic outlet to bring you what I consider to be a really good box this month. Eylure Brow Stencils Eylure have recently released a brow range, and my goodness they have been hitting it out of the park. I recently review the brow crayon from this range, which you can read about here. While I personally don’t need brow stencils, due to the fact I’ve embrowdery done on my brows, these are great for people who struggle with putting some shape on their brows. March Powder Pocket Box

This is the 2nd month of my Powder pocket box subscription. For those of you that don’t already know, Powder Pocket are an Irish subscription box that costs €15 a month. One of the things that I really like about Powder Pocket is that they took the money from my account on Monday and I had the box on Friday.       Thank you so much Claire. My nerves are shattered here. I haven’t gotten Chic Treat Club box, but there is one coming today, so I will have a review up tomorrow. At the end of the month I am going to do a comparison between the 3 boxes.

    I totally agree with your thoughts! I have never subscribed to Glossybox but I have heard other bloggers say it’s too hit and miss as well!
