While all things beauty and makeup are a great passion of mine, one of my other loves is technology. I am an absolute gadget geek. So when technology and beauty are combined, my mind is blown.
I am a big fan of nail art, but it can be hard to find a salon that does it, as it takes a lot of skill and time. Wendy and Colin from iNailz have now brought a new technology to Ireland that can take the time and the hassle out of nail art for salons, while at the same time allowing the client to get any image they like on their nails.
iNailz is a nail art printing technology that is done using one of two different types of machines. The first machine is a large white or black machine. This does two things. Firstly it can print any image at all onto a set of false nails. While I am not normally a fan of false nails, my mind was blown when I saw how this machine works. You can literally take any image at all and get either the whole image or a section of the image onto a set of nails. The machine comes preloaded with hundreds of images to choose from or as I mentioned above you can print your own image. To me this would be amazing for a hen party, children’s party of even if you are looking for a print to match a dress for a party of wedding. Imagine the hen going around with a full set of nails featuring the groom for the night. The nails come with both sticky pads and nail glue, so you can wear them for either a night or a little bit longer if you like.
Secondly this machine can print any image directly onto your nail. When treated like shellac with the top coat etc, it will last as long as your shellac will. I am not going to lie, I am really taken with this idea. Imagine walking into a salon, with a picture of the nail art you want on a USB and getting it printed exactly as it is onto your nail. If my local salon had this, I would literally be getting a feature nail every time I got my nails done.
The second machine is smaller and this can only print onto individual nails. This is more for the salon that doesn’t want to reproduce the sets of false nails, but rather focus on just the printing on the clients own nail.
Instead of me explaining step by step how it works, I have put together a little video to show you the iNailz machine in action. Be warned, this blew my mind.
As this is only a recent thing to Ireland, there are only 7 salons around the country with these machines, but more and more are being added. You can find a list of the salons here and if you are a salon interested in taking on this new technology you can contact Wendy or Colin from iNailz here.
I genuinely love the idea of this and I know there would be a lot of my friends that would get this done in a heart beat. The ways to use these nails are endless.
