Inglot makeup master class

I am a little late to discovering how great Inglot makeup is. While I was always aware of Inglot, my extra cash always headed into the Mac tills. Lately I have found myself tiring of Mac a little ( maybe because I have almost every eyeshadow) and branching out into other brands. When I saw the chance to take part in an Inglot makeup masterclass I jumped at the chance as I wanted to learn more about the products as well as finally learning how to get glitter to stay on my eyes.

Inglot regularly run makeup masterclasses in their different stores. They often post details of these classes on their Facebook page and all you have to do is book your place in the class. You do not need any makeup experience to go along to the classes and the best part about it is they are free.

Avril, the Inglot Mua, guided us through a step by step guide on how to achieve the perfect Christmas party glittery eye. I am an absolute fiend for glitter and I really loved this look that Avril created. Avril used a cranberry colour in the crease ( Inglot eyeshadow 74). A black colour in the outer v. A vanilla colour on the brow bone and to blend out the harsh edges of the other colours. Next up was eyeliner. She used a gel liner and made it easier to use using duraline. Finally she used glitter ( Inglot 59). Avril put some duraline on the lid and gently placed the glitter on top. The result was stunning.

On the night we received 10% off everything. I mean how could I not buy a few items.

Inglot Freedom system

I have been eyeing up the Inglot eyeshadows for a while now. Every time I am in Jervis I go over and have a little play but I was always very overwhelmed by the amount of products and how the palette system actually worked. Going to the class I was able to see what eyeshadows worked together and invest in my first Inglot palette. These palettes are a serious bargain. So how does the freedom system work?

Firstly you buy an empty palette. These come with 5 or 10 slots. The palette itself is €6 no matter what size you buy. This is an absolute bargain considering an empty Mac palette costs €18

Next up comes your chance to pick your eyeshadows. An Inglot makeup artist will help you pick out the different eyeshadows to fill up your palette. You can play around with different combinations and they will even show you how to create different looks with the eyeshadows. Each eyeshadow is €6 . You don’t have to buy all 5 at once, you can buy 1 and decide to fill up your palette over time. I just couldn’t resist filling the palette.

I am so surprised at how pigmented and easy to work with the eyeshadows are. The only thing I don’t like about the eyeshadows is that they use numbers rather than names. This is a big thing for me and I think it is one of the reasons I have stayed away from the eyeshadows to date. At least with Mac names are easier to remember. However, don’t let this put you off as I am 100% going back to purchases another palette or 5! There is also a freedom system for lipsticks and blushes.

Duraline

This was a real revolutionary product for me. I love wearing glitter and pigments but I can never get them to stay on my eyes. This little liquid when patted onto the eyes keeps the glitter on all night with minimal fall out. It can also be used to make a gel liner into an easier to work with liquid eyeliner. Or make and eyeshadow into a liner. This little beauty only costs €10!! If you plan on wearing glitter, this product is a must.

I actually love this little pot of gorgeousness. How I stopped myself from buying more colours I do not know. As you can see from the pictures above, this glitter is going to create the most gorgeous Christmas party eye. At €15 for a pot I think I might sneak back and buy another colour or 2.
I would highly recommend taking part in these classes. I am going to try and fit in another one before Christmas and maybe buy the look created as a Christmas present for someone.
