Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Becca Cosmetics Highlighter

Over the past number of weeks there has been some serious hype surrounding the collaboration between Becca Cosmetics and Youtube sensation Jaclyn Hill. For weeks I have been seeing snapchats, Instagram posts and blog posts about Champagne pop, the new Becca Highlighter. I am not normally one to fall for hype, but this highlighter really got me and as soon as it came online, I made a purchase. My god am I glad I did, as this highlighter is unbelievable!!!

For those of you that haven’t heard of Jacyln Hill, she is a makeup artist, who tried her hand at Youtube and now has over 2 million subscribers. Those of you that are regular readers of the blog, will know I am a major Jaclyn fan girl. I genuinely admire her honesty about products and while yes, she can be a little full on at times, I am in complete awe of her makeup skills!! You can check our her page here.

The Becca Shimmering skin perfector pressed in the shade Champagne pop, is a beautiful champagne colour, as the name would suggest. I was a little afraid that this shade, might be too golden for my skin tone, but it is like it was made with my skin tone in mind and don’t even get me started on that glow!!

Like all Becca highlighters, the pressed powder is extremely soft and creamy. With such an intense glow I was fearful of the chunky glitter look, but I had nothing to fear as this highlighter is so finely milled that it applies to the skin like a dream.

The intensity of the Champagne pop is buildable on your cheek bones. If you’re a fan of a very subtle highlight, then a light hand is needed, as this baby is pigmented!! If like me you like a full on glow, then using a fan brush you can build the highlighter to your desired glow level. Everytime I see the glow I achieve with Champagne pop, my heart gives a little flutter.

There is one down side to this wonder product, and that is is it only available in Sephora! Yes I know, I’m sorry to be introducing you to something that is clearly so wonderfully amazing and then tell you that it is hard to get. However, there is hope in sight. Sephora ship to the UK, which means Irish customers can avail of Sephora products with Parcel motel.

So many of you have asked me how Parcel Motel works. Basically, when you join up with Parcel motel you get a unique ID number. This number indicates who you are and the drop off location that you have picked. Parcel Motel have lots of locations all over Ireland and there is usually more than one two choose from in your area. When you place an order with Sephora, you give your name, ID number and the Parcel Motel address in Northern Ireland. Sephora then ship your parcel to Northern Ireland, where Parcel Motel scan in your ID number and redirect your parcel to your chosen parcel motel location. You will then receive an email and text telling you that your parcel is ready for collection and a code with which to retrieve it. Easy!!

Postage from Sephora can be expensive, but if you have an order of over £75, shipping is £10. My advice, is to find a few girls that are looking for the highlighter and bulk order together. Either that or do one massive haul of products from Sephora.

I genuinely can’t sing high enough praises for this highlighter. As it is limited edition I am terrified that either something will happen to it or i will run out, so I have decided to buy another one. With the dollar so bad they work out at about €37, but for the glow you get, it is seriously worth it.
