This month saw the 6th instalment from the new Irish subscription box company Chic Treat Club. These guys really hit the ground running when the launched in January, and they haven’t slowed down since. The brands they have been working with are impressive and rumour has it, that it is an ever growing list. To make their service even better, they have now launched a month by month subscription service, at the price of €16.95 a month. It is more expensive to do it this way, but ladies this box is worth it.
The June box came with 5 full sized products. You know how I love me some full sized products. While there was 1 or 2 misses for me, overall this was another great box from the Chic Treat team.
Waxperts Ingrown hair pads
I was chuffed to see these little wonder pads in this months box. I love, love, love these miracle workers. The Waxpert ingrown hair pads are, as the name suggests, a treatment to help prevent and treat ingrown hairs. You use them after waxing or shaving and salicylic acid helps get rid of the dreaded in grown hairs. However, here is the thing, they do more! Due to the ingredient salicylic acid, they are great for treating spots. They totally dry out the spots and kill them before they get too evil. Also, you know that horrendous chicken plucked look that legs can have from waxing or shaving? Well the Waxpert ingrown hair pads helps to reduce them. I did tell you they were a wonder product. You need these. Honestly if you have any of the above problems, you need these. You can buy them for €7.99 on www.waxperts.ie
Bia Beauty Lemon Myrtle Hand Cream
I love seeing Bia Beauty products in subscription boxes. It is such a fabulous Irish brand that uses all natural products. This hand cream smells fab and is said to be nourishing, healing and protective for your hands. I have a serious amount of hand creams, but I can never have too many as I have them dotted around the house and in different handbags. I do think however, due to the tub nature of this product, it will be one for the bed stand. You can buy this for €14.99 from www.biabeauty.com.
Sleek eye dust
Sleek is a huge favourite of many a beauty addict. This eye dust is a white/silver eye pigment. At this time of the year, I tend not to use this colour pigment, but roll on November and this baby will be all over my face. Well mainly my eyes. Who needs to be paying the high price of high end brand pigments when you can get the Sleek pigments for much less. There isn’t actually a price for this pigment yet.
Palmers Cocoa butter formula foot magic
I don’t know what it is with subscription boxes and foot creams, but my god at these stage I could stock a shelf in Boots with the amount I have! This is said to be great for an overnight treatment as well as massaging into the foot. Once I do my Softsole foot peel, I will start lashing this on. You can buy them in Pharmacies and Pennys for €4.99
Dream Water
This product was a little disappointing for me. Not because of the product itself, but rather because there was something so similar in last month’s box. I am highly sceptical of this type of product and the fact that I have a serious amount of allergies, I tend not to try things like this. ( Although I am still intrigued by last month’s collagen shot). These retail in pharmacies for €2.99 each.
