Kiehl’s Creme de Corps

DSC_5295Up until recently Kiehl’s was one of those brands that I had heard nothing but good things about, but had never tried. Both my sister and brother rave about how fantastic everything Kiehl’s is, but for one reason or another I just hadn’t gotten around to giving anything a good test run. That was until the Kiehl’s Creme de Corps came into my life.

Body lotion is one of those things that I am very lazy with. I usually have my shower in the morning, and as I have previously mentioned in other posts, I am all about trying to grab those precious extra few minutes in bed and body lotion was just one of those things I thought I could give a miss. Well I thought wrong, as with my use of fake tan on the increase, I found that my skin was a little on the dry and scaly side and in dire need of a drop of moisture.

DSC_5301Kiehl’s Creme de Corps has a really luxurious thick and creamy texture, that soaks into your skin almost instantly. Meaning there is no need to be walking around John Wayne style waiting for your lotion to dry before you can get dressed. Thankfully unlike some body moisturisers I have tried before, this doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy, but rather you can feel that your skin is instantly softer. In fact the Kiehl’s Creme de Corps offers such moisture to the skin, that it is said to be fantastic for even those of you that suffer from eczema. As I don’t have eczema, I can’t attest to this claim, but from the reviews I have read, it seems to be true. Either way, it is fantastic for soothing extremely dry or flaking skin.

DSC_5297Another fantastic highlight is the fact that it is unscented. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I like my body lotion to have a scent, but for the most part, I like my perfume to do the talking when it comes to my fragrance. The fact that the Creme de Corps comes scent free means I don’t have to worry about whether my perfume will clash with the fragrance from my lotion.

After several days using Creme de Corps my skin felt a lot softer and moisturised  My scaly skin had more or less disappeared and the life of my fake tan was extended. I feel that this will be a real winner when I am on honeymoon, as the sun really dries out my skin and this will replenish any lost moisture and hopefully prolong my real tan.

For those of you that aren’t already aware. You can now get your Kiehl’s products 15% cheaper in The Loop at Dublin Airport. The 250ml Creme de Corps is €27 in The Loop, compared to €31.50 in the City.

The duty free in Terminal 1 has had a complete revamp and now stocks a serious amount of Kiehl’s products, along with Urban decay, Aveda and many more. While Kiehl’s isn’t available on their website just yet, they will hopefully have it online soon.

Beauty products for pregnancy and beyond

Knowing what products you can and can’t use during pregnancy is a complete minefield. There are so many conflicting reports out there, that it is actually hard to find out what exactly you can and can’t use.
