La Roche Posay Cicaplast pro recovery

Screen Shot 2014-09-05 at 13.50.43Everybody should have a break in case of emergency skin care product, and for me it is the la Roche Posay Cicaplast for the face. This stuff really is a wonder product.

While I don’t have extremely sensitive skin, I am an extremely allergic person. I am allergic to so much stuff, medication, seafood, AHAs, PHPs and so much more. The list is endless. I normally don’t mind, as I have learned to stay away from the products, and foods I am allergic to. Howver, as I am constantly trying out new products on my face, being the allergic person that I am, I am bound to have a reaction every so often and that is what happened this week.

I don’t know what it was that caused the reaction, but my skin  broke out into thousands of tiny little water blisters all over my face. The pain of it was unreal, not to mention it looks really bad. It really hurt and I felt like absolute rubbish, as I couldn’t wear makeup.  I couldn’t put hydrocortisone cream on it,as while it is brilliant for allergic rashes, it can cause damage to the skin on your face as it is so strong.I needed something to help ease the pain and appearance of this reaction and i didn’t have time to wait days and days for it to go down naturally.  Bring in the utterly amazing La Roche Posay Cicaplast pro recovery skin care.

Screen Shot 2014-09-05 at 13.50.34Cicaplast helps to speed up the epidermal repair. accelerate the reconstruction of chapped, and irrupted skin, relevies itchiness and tightness, while at the same time protecting your skin. Basically this is a miracle in a tube.  I started to have my reaction on Monday and it was at it’s worst on Tuesday and Wednesday. I started applying the Cicaplast a number of times a day from Wednesday and as of today ( Friday) my skin has almost cleared up. Not only that, but it feels incredibly soft.

If you ever have any sort of reaction on your skin, or a really bad dry patch,  apply this as many times as you can throughout the day, and it will clear your skin up in no time. I use this every so often as a moisturiser too, to give my skin that baby skin feeling.

It can be bought in chemists nationwide for €12.50 or online here

Hi, thanks for all your honest blogs!
Do you think to product would be good for skinnrecovering from acne? I get spots around my mouth and chin due to food intolerances. Had a really bad run of it for a couple of months, all under control (pretty much) now but I’m left with lots of red marks threatening to scar…

Yvonne I’m not 100% sure but I think it would do a decent job at repairing the skin. It really is a wonder product and would be worth a try

Hey Sinead, I have extremely dry skin at the moment. I’ve never had this problem before and I’m so self concious every time I put makeup on. This is what my skin does when I wear makeup now 🙁 https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/10959730_10155283865715226_8887392121206484911_n.jpg?oh=5f289211f6f6e06ccb2e1081129d1a9c&oe=558B7DC8&__gda__=1434962615_2f8c6efc8e5045eb721da926e6ea6403 Would you say it will help? I’m heading to Liverpool on Friday and was dying to get a photo of my makeup under my new studio lights but am way too concious to even put makeup on now! 🙁

Le Roche Posay do my life saver mosturiser, Nutritic. It is magic, and not expensive. i even use it on my hands if I get a bit of dermatitis and it works better than Cortisone cream. I have very sensitive, dry dehydrated skin. It might be worth a look ! Combined with bio essence mask and Eve Lom cleanser I have a new face! (Have you tried Eve Lom?)

Love the blog, my credit card is aching over you!
