La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +

I am very late to the La Roche Posay wagon, but now that I have jumped on, I am seriously enjoying the trip. While I have a good skin care routine, recently my skin decided it wanted to have a little hissy fit. I am talking, join the dots on my face for weeks on end. No matter what I did, once I got rid of one spot a few another 2 or 3 would pop up. Gorgeous!!

In my absolute desperation, I turned to my trusted advisors. The Irish Beauty bloggers, and the product that kept coming up again and again to help me solve my problem, was the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +.

The Effaclar range was designed for people that are prone to breakouts. The Effaclar Duo + is an anti blemish cream that is said to target the signs of oily and blemish prone skin, while at the same time unclogging pores and sorting out the look of the skins texture. I was very dubious, as I felt this was an extremely tall order for any product, never mind such a reasonably priced product.DSC_0334

You can use the Effaclar Duo + everyday, or you can use it when you see the first signs of a breakout. I have been using it almost everyday for the last 3-4 weeks. At first I didn’t know if I saw a difference, as the spots that were already there, didn’t seem to be going anywhere. However, I soon had my, eureka moment. I felt a few new angry looking bad boys developing on my chin. I applied the Effaclar Duo + before I went to bed and again in the morning, and I swear to god, they spots were gone. This is unheard of for me. Normally when a spot decides that it wants to set up shop on my chin, they are there for the long haul.

Effaclar duo + is an all over face treatment and it can be applied like moisturiser. It can be used with a moisturiser or on it’s own and it is applied before your makeup. If you have oily skin or blemish prone skin I can see this being a wonder product for you. However, for someone like me who has normal skin, with intermittent breakouts, the Effaclar duo + is more of an occasional treatment, but an amazing one at that.

I can honestly say, between using the cicaplast and the Effaclar duo +, my skin is now worthy of makeup free days. The Effaclar Duo + is suitable for acne prone teenagers, right up to adults who breakout every so often. You can get it in most Pharmacies and in Boots, but I have found Boots are a little more expensive with La Roche Posay. A tube will set you back between €17.50 and €19.99, depending on where you buy it. Trust me, you need the La Roche Posday Effaclar Duo + in your life.
