Mac Margin blusher

DSC_2240At this time of the year our skin needs every little bit of help it can get to give it a bit of a glow. Once the weather changes, I find that my skin looks so lack lustre and dull.  One of my favourite things to do to bring life to my face, is to use a blusher with a little bit of shimmer in it and right now my favourite blusher for doing this is Mac Margin.

DSC_2242Margin is one of the most popular blushers from Mac. I am a big fan of Mac blushers, as I find them extremely pigmented, and long wearing. Margin is no different.  It is said to be a  peachy colour with a golden sheen/shimmer to it. However I find when applied, it leans a little more on the golden side than on the peach side . Do not be put of by the shimmer in this blush, as when it is applied to the cheeks it has a beautiful frost finish that gives your cheeks such a healthy glow. Exactly what I need to give my face a little bit of a pick me up.

IMG_0696I apply this with the Nima Tara or Wendy brushes , to the apples of my cheeks. I find that the Nima brushes are great for picking up the perfect amount of product. Due to the glow that this blusher gives, it can be used to highlight your cheekbones too, if you want that sun kissed glow on your cheekbones . However, while I love this blusher , I would avoid it if you have very visible pores,as the shimmer will only magnify them more and that s the last thing anyone wants.

IMG_0652The only downside to this blusher is the price. While €23 isn’t a massive amount of money, I still find it pinches a little to splash out on a blusher. You can buy Margin in any Mac store or online here.

Wow, that’s gorgeous! Did you try Nars Orgasm, I wonder how similar they are.

Great review Sinead, although I must be the only person that doesn’t really like this blusher!. I bought it about 8 months ago, and have barely used it. I just don’t think it gives enough colour pay off for the price. My go to blusher for the daytime is benefits ‘CORALista’. I LOVE this blusher. 🙂
