Mac Peachykeen blusher

DSC_4655The love affair with Mac continues, and my latest love is this beautiful blusher for spring time, Peachykeen. I am placing full blame on Kate Mc Cormack makeup for this one, as I recently saw her rave about it on her Facebook page and it really would have been rude not to go out and buy it.

Like all Mac blushers Peachykeen comes in very nondescript packing. I suppose when you have a great product, what is the need to faff about with fancy looking packaging. Mac tend to let the product do the talking itself.

Peachykeen has is a sheertone shimmer finish. Don’t be put off by the shimmer, as I find that it adds just the right amount of glow to the skin making it the perfect colour for giving your cheeks a glow this summer. While at the same time, it doesn’t highlight any pores.

Mac describe Peachykeen as a very baby peach colour. Personally I find the colour falls somewhere between a pink and a peach colour. In the pan it leans more on the pink side, but once applied to the skin, there is a bit more a peach colour. Peachykeen tends to lean on the warmer side, so works perfect with our Irish skin tone.

Pigmentation wise, this isn’t going to blow you away and to be fair I kinda like that with this colour. Peachykeen instead gives your cheeks a hint of colour and a lovely glow. Yes the colour is buildable, but I like how it applies with just one or two quick swipes of the brush on the apples of the cheeks.

If you’re a fan of Mac Margin, then you’re gonna like Peachykeen. They both offer a flush of colour, warmth and glow to the cheeks, but at the same time are both differ in colour enough to justify buying both!!!

You can buy Peachykeen here for €19 for a refill  or in the packaging for €23 here.
