Make Up For Ever Liquid Lift Foundation review

Make Up For Ever Liquid Lift foundation in Sand
The search for the perfect foundation is an ongoing quest for many women. I have tried so many foundations I have lost count. You think you have found one and then your skin decides other wise a few weeks later. Well my search has officially ended. I have found the most amazing foundation. The Make Up For Ever Liquid lift  foundation.

I have normal to dry skin but with a sometimes oily t-zone. I like a medium coverage foundation that doesn’t make my face look like it is caked in makeup. A few weeks ago I went into the Make Up For Ever store with the intention of getting the famous HD foundation. Sinéad the MUA, took time to ask me about my skin and what exactly I was looking for in a foundation. Turns out HD was not for me and she matched me with the Liquid Lift foundation.
The liquid lift is neither matte nor dewy but somewhere in between. It is lightweight and gives the skin a flawless finish. It doesn’t sit in fine lines and instead smooths out lines and pores. It gives the skin a very natural looking finish. Liquid lift lasts on my skin for a good 6 to 8 hours without having to top up or dry the skin out. When applying this foundation little bit goes a long way. The coverage is a medium coverage but it is buildable.
Before and after

There are 15 shades in the Liquid Lift range of foundations, so you are sure to find one that suits. I in fact had my choice of 2 shades. I decided to go for number 10 Sand. This was an exact match for my skin, while number 2 was a tiny bit darker. It is much better to match your skin and bronze it up rather than a shade darker and tan your neck to match.

This foundation is hydrating and illuminating. In my opinion it is better suited to normal to dry skin. However I feel it would be ok on oily skin too if you used a setting powder and primer. If you are unsure that you want to commit €35 to a full bottle, head into Make Up For Ever Clarendon street and they can match you up with your perfect colour and give you a sample. What I really liked about the store itself is that there was no pressure to buy, instead they send you off with samples to make sure it is your perfect foundation. If you can’t get into the store you can also buy the foundation online here.

I can not recommend this foundation enough. I have had so many compliments on my skin since I started to wear this.I know that this will be my go to foundation from now on.

Have you tried any Make Up For Ever foundations?

Your skin looks incredible with that foundation! You’re a total ride 😉 Definitely heading into the store to have a consultation, maybe I’ll come home with my HG foundation 🙂
