Makeup Storage from HerClutterbox

DSC_7715With my makeup collection growing every week, I am constantly on the look out for new makeup storage. Unfortunetly space is something I have very quickly run out of. Our house is not very big, so all my makeup has to be kept in the one corner of our bedroom. Ok, I make it sound that my makeup is stored in one drawer, but I genuinely have no room left and was desperately seeking some storage that would hold a lot, but wouldn’t take up lots of space. Hello HerClutterBox!!!

DSC_7668HerClutterBox recently sent me out the 4 drawer Pretty in Pink Clutterbox to fill full of loads of my bits and pieces. Hands up, before I was sent a HerClutterBox, I was a little sceptical of them. I thought they were far too expensive for what was in essence a plastic box and I could easily pick something similar up in Homestore and more, for a fraction of the price.Well ladies I was wrong. Boy was I wrong, this thing is absolutely brilliant and could not be further from some acrylic boxes that I have seen about the place.

DSC_7694The first thing I noticed when my Clutterbox arrived, was the weight of it. This thing weighs an absolute tonne weight. Not only that but it is extremely sturdy. I have had acrylic storage before and you can hear it rattle about but not with the Clutterbox. As HerClutterBox is made from heavy duty plastic, this thing is going to last for a very very long time. I also don’t feel the drawers are under pressure from the weight of the makeup inside it, as normally happens with cheaper acrylic storage.

DSC_7749The drawers themselves are very spacious. When I first looked at the box, I didn’t hold out much hope for how much makeup it could hold.  Yet again, I was wrong. You can see from the pictures that I have a serious amount of makeup stored in each drawer and could fit more if I wanted.

DSC_7741Each drawer has it’s own role. The bottom drawer, which is the deepest drawer, is where my skincare and a few hair bits live. I find these are the best products to store here, as not only is it deep, but it is easy to access and see everything. Especially first thing in the morning when I am half asleep.

DSC_7740I decided not to divide out the second drawer, as this is where I keep some of my products that need I need to review. As the Clutterbox comes with dividers that you can add in yourself. It is up to you as to how you want to divide up the drawers. I really like this, as my 3rd and 4th drawers are divided up differently, as the both have different functions. One is for eye products, while the other is for lipsticks. Excuse the dirt of some of the makeup, I just didn’t have it in my to give every bit a scrub.

DSC_7739I also really like that the drawers are see through. I can easily see what is in each drawer and in particular I love that I can see the names on my Mac Lipsticks. I know I can’t see the names on the back sections of the 4th drawer, but this is where I am keeping the lipsticks that I don’t wear as often.

I know there are going to be some of you that think the price point of the HerClutterbox is far too expensive and as I mentioned above, I would have thought the same before I saw the box, but my mind has been completely changed! Just look at how much makeup this thing holds and I don’t even have it packed full! This is the ideal storage for someone who is lacking a bit of space, someone who wants their makeup where they can see it, or even someone with a tonne of makeup like myself that wants extra storage. It just takes up such a small amount of space and yet holds a huge amount of makeup.

I hate to mention the C word, but this would make a fantastic Christmas present for the makeup lover in your life, or even a from me to me present for yourself.

You can pick up your own HerClutterBox here from €139.

I’m really surprised at how much you can get in these drawers! I bought loads of Muji drawers but really should have just bought one of these & still had money left over! xx

Love the way you’ve organised it, I’m not a fan of the brand.
