Must have Eyeshadow palettes

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.39.45 p.m.Those of you that have been following the blog for a while now, will know that I have a serious problem with it comes to eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes. I can’t get enough of them! To me there is no such things as too many eyeshadows, the problem is there just isn’t enough days to wear them all!!

Recently is seems that so many brands are churning out new palettes. Some look amazing, some not so. To help you pick what palette or even palettes you want to add to your Christmas list, I’ve had a look at loads of different brands and picked out the best palettes to stick on your list!

Too Faced

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.11.40 p.m.It wouldn’t be a palette list if I didn’t include my much loved Too Faced Chocolate bar palette. This palette has been in my life almost two years now and it still gets serious love. There is a fantastic range of colours in the palette, to create a multitude of looks. Not only that, but the eyeshadows are pigmented, creamy and easy to work with. Oh and the best part is, the palette smells like chocolate. Thankfully Too Faced is becoming a little bit more easily available in Ireland , as a fairly decent amount of the Too Faced Products are now stock in Debenhams Ireland and on their online store. You can buy the Chocolate bar palette here for €47, but keep an eye out, as Debenhams often have 10% off beauty around this time of the year. You can read a full review of my experience with the Too Faced palette here.

The Semi sweet palette offers as much variety as the original , the only difference being, the Semi Sweet palette offers a few more shimmery shades and lighter colours. It retails at the same price and you can pick it up here.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

DSC_7117Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of those brands that is big on YouTube, but not so well known amongst Irish beauty lovers. During the summer I picked up a few of the ABH single eyeshadows to try out and fell head over heels in love with them! They are really pigmented and an absolute dream to work with.

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.15.50 p.m.As a result of these single shadows, my interest has been risen in the new Self Made Palette. With a mix of shimmer and matte shadows, as well as a few bright shades thrown in, this palette really is a great one to add to your collection, as it is unlikely that you have many colours like this.

You can pick it up on Cultbeauty.com for €38 or if it’s sold out there try The Beauty Bay.

Urban Decay

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.17.05 p.m.While Urban Decay is normally all about the Naked palettes, it will be the release of the Gwen Stefani palette that will set many hearts racing this winter and when you have a look at the beautiful range of colours, it is not hard to see why.It is said that Gwen had a hand in picking out the colours that are in included in the palette. With a mix of easy to wear colours and more vibrant shades, this really is a very versatile palette.

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.21.51 p.m.Don’t quote me on this, but it is said to be available in Debenhams from the start of December and you can put your name on a wait list. I’ll try and find out more details ASAP and stick the information up on social media.

The Balm

The Balm have a really great range of palettes with something to suit every one. I am currently trying out the Nude’Tude palette and I have to say the pigmentation is unreal!!! There is a little fall out with the shadows, but personally that is not something that bothers me. It has a mix of shimmers and mattes, and a wide range of colours. Thankfully The Balm is now available in Debenhams stores and on their online store. Palettes from The Balm range in price and shades, but as you can see below there are quite a few to pick from. The Nude’Dude and Nude’tude palettes cost €36 while the Meet Matte Nude costs €43

Meet Matte nude €43

NUDE'dude €35

Inglot

Inglot Limited edition Palette €75

Early last week, Inglot Ireland announced the launch of their new pre made palette for Christmas. When I initially saw the price of the palette at €75, I thought it was a little on the expensive side, as it would cost more or less the same to make up a palette yourself. However, I have since learnt that this is actually an Inglot Ireland incentive. It was the Inglot stores themselves that decided to put together a pre made palette themselves, for the gift buyers in our lives to buy. As a result of this, that is why it is priced as it is. If it was an Inglot International launch, then of course they would be able to reduce prices, as they would be selling all over the world. I tip my hat to the ladies in Inglot Ireland, as launching their own pre made palette, will hopefully push Inglot International to do the same. which is a win win for everyone.

The palette is something a little different, as it is predominately cool tones. I find that most palettes that are released tend to be on the warmer side, so it is nice to see cool toned fans catered for here.

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.29.55 p.m.Another option with Inglot is to make your own palette. I have made two palettes now, as at €6 each, these shadows are a serious bargain, especially when you consider the quality of the shadows. Ivy favourite Inglot palette is the on I have include above and not matter what palette you put together, you 100% need that orange shade in your life!!!

Flormar

Formar Palette €9.95

When it comes to palettes on a budget, the Formar eyeshadow palettes are unreal. Honestly at €9.95 a palette, the pigmentation is fantastic!! I love the nude palette and use it quite regularly for work. The shadows last on my eyes as long as, if not longer than some of my more high end shadows!! If you haven’t tried one of these palettes yet, I high suggest that you pick one up and give them a go. You can buy them from Simply Foxy here or from a range of pharmacies nationwide.

Make Up For Ever

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 4.35.09 p.m.Many of you will already know that I am a serious Make Up For ever fan girl. I love so many of their products, but their artist eyeshadows have a very special place in my heart, as they unbelievable!! Like I am talking incredible!!!  I have 12 of the individual shadows and I can’t speak highly enough of them. I even wore some of these on my wedding day.

15 ARTIST SHADOW PALETTE OPENHowever, like with anything good there is a down side and to create a palette like mine would be expensive, but not to worry, Make Up For Ever have put together some pre made palettes! The 15 shade artist palette is €80, which is an absolutely massive saving when you consider individual shadows are around the €15 marks each!!! While the 9 Artist palette set is €61 and includes a mini smoky extravagant mascara and an Aqua eyes eyeliner!!! Honestly these need to be on your list this Christmas!!!
