This post has been a very long time coming. For months I have threatened to record a video showing how I store my makeup. I held off recording for a very long time as I felt the storage wasn’t exactly how I wanted it. Now, I have realised, that while it may not be perfect yet, it may still give you guys ideas on how to store your makeup.
The vast majority of my makeup storage is very affordable and from Ikea. The desk is the Malm dressing table and cost €100. It has a pull out drawer with good space and comes with a glass top. The long drawer unit is the Alex 9 drawer unit. A holy grail item for many beauty bloggers. This also cost €100. The chair is called ingolf and cost €30. My mirror was the most expensive item and the price depends on the exchange rate at the time. I got it for around the €280 mark the Hollywood collation from Illuminated mirrors.
The lipstick holder I purchased on ebay. It cost about €3 and was free delivery. There are so many to choose from on ebay but make sure you buy from a top rated seller. The white holder is actually an Ikea plant pot. It’s called the skurar and cost €2. I bought a few of these as they are really handy.
The plant pots also come in a bigger size which I use to store my brushes. I have 2 pots, one for face brushes and one for eye brushes. The bigger pots cost €2.50
To find out how to make the organisers for the Alex drawers, check out Aisling from Total Makeup addicts post here. Her step by step guide is fantastic!!
Enough of me waffling on. Why don’t you just take a look at the storage itself in the video below and let me know what you think?
