Last week I posted a picture of a mini NYX haul on Facebook and so many of you asked me to give a recommendation of my top products. It is overwhelming standing in front of a packed stand and not knowing what to buy. So here are my top picks from NYX, so you know exactly what to pick up on your next trip to a NYX stand
I have actually lost count at of how many of these I have. There are 12 different colours in this collection, with a colour to suit everyone and at this stage it could easily be 8 or 9 that I own. I honestly can’t get enough of them. I find that I tend to wear them more during the Spring and Summer, but over the weekend I discover that if you pair Creme Brule up with the NYX round lipstick in Summer love and the NYX lip liner in Mauve, you have the most beautiful nude lip ever!
The Butter glosses are the smoothest and most moisturising glosses I have tried. They are not sticky and they glide on like…. butter when applying. They do not dry out and are very lightweight on the lips.these glosses are really pigmented and add loads of colour to your lips. They last pretty long for lip glosses and you would get about an hour without having to reapply. Although if you are like me, I top up my gloss every few minutes.
The Butter Glosses cost €6.49 each and for the amount you will use them, they are a complete bargain. You can read a full review here.
The NYX blusher are fantastic value for such a great little product. They are seriously pigmented and 1 quick swipe of your brush picks up loads of product and creates a natural sheer finish to the cheeks. However, the colour is buildable if you want a more full on look. They can be a little chalky on the chalky side, but if you apply a small amount of product and build up to your desired colour, the work out really well. The key is not to go in heavy handed. There are 27 colours in the range, but only 12 are available in Ireland. A cult favourite that I am yet to get my hands on, is Taupe. This is said to be the ultimate contouring product for fair skin. These blushers cost €7.49 and you can read a full review here.
My advice when it comes to NYX lip liners, is buy them all. Every single one of them!! While they aren’t as creamy as a Mac liner, they are not far off and do a fantastic job lining your lips. I honestly love them. With many of them being dupes for Mac liners they can be hard to come by. I’ve been on the hunt for Mauve, which is a dupe for Mac whirl, the ultimate Kylie Jenner colour. My absolute favourite is Bloom, but sadly you can’t get that in Ireland. Natural pink is also fab. I have 5 new liners to try and will do up a full blog post on the colours I’ve bought. However, if you have a lip colour to match the colour available just buy it. You won’t be disappointed. As far as I know, there are 16 available in Ireland.
NYX have 2 types of lipsticks on sale in Ireland, Round lipsticks and the Matte lipsticks. Just like with the lip liners, if you like a colour buy it, as I love these lip sticks. Granted I have only tried a a few so far, but I am already beyond obsessed. Thalia, is just the most divine brown / mauve nude. I’m wearing it with Mac spice liner and it is just absolute love. I will have a full blog post up on these soon. The round lipsticks cost €5.49 and the matte €7.49.
To celebrate The Beautiful Truth hitting 20,000 Facebook followers I have a €100 worth of NYX products to give away. Considering NYX products are so reasonably priced, this will be a prize that you’re gonna want to win. You can enter through the Rafflecopter app down below. The competition will close on February 1st.
Good Luck xx
