Sometimes, a product comes into your life, that makes you sit up and wonder where it has been all your life? Over the last number of months, the glowing reviews have been coming thick and fast for the Nars radiant creamy concealer. Ever the sceptic, I took all of these reviews with a pinch of salt. There was no way a concealer could live up to all the hype. Ladies I hang my head in shame. This concealer not only lives up to the hype, but it does it in a way I never thought possible.
I was never one to suffer from dark circles, but over the last year or so I have been plagued with the dreaded dark half moon shapes under my eyes. I have used a wealth of eye creams to get rid of them, but so far they have only eased them a little, rather than rid me of them. I have had to come to terms with the fact that the older we get, the more the skin under the eyes thin out and these dark circles are here to stay and a powerful concealer is needed.
I have been on the hunt for a holy grail concealer for what seems like forever, while there are many concealers that I highly rate such as the Mac pro long wear and the Maybelline instant age rewind, none of them have reached Holy Grail status. That is until now. Ladies I present to you, my brand new Holy Grail concealer, The Nars Radiant Creamy concealer.
This concealer packs some serious punch when it comes to coverage, and it does so without looking cakey or heavy on the skin. In fact this concealer has a kind of light reflecting, illuminating finish under the eye. It not only banishes dark circles, but it gives your under eye area a “lit from within glow”. It has a buildable coverage , and works just as well no matter how little or how much you apply. However in saying that, a little goes a long way.
The texture of the Nars radiant creamy concealer, is as the name suggests, Creamy!!! It has a very luxurious, light weight feel to it that is perfect for under the eyes. Some concealers can leave a heavy feeling under the eye and dry out a little after a while. This is not the case with this concealer. It dries beautifully and while I am reluctant to say that it doesn’t crease under the eyes, because as far as I am concerned no matter what you put under your eyes, you are going to get some creasing, this concealer has minimal creasing. It stays put all day.
The Radiant creamy concealer, comes in a long slim tube with a doe foot applicator. I like to apply it with the applicator in a triangle under my eyes and blend it in with the Nima Brush crease brush. I pat the excess in with my fingers. While people might differ withe their application, this way works for me.You can use this anywhere on your face, but I would advice if you are using it on spots, that you don’t apply it with the applicator, hygiene and all that.
So there is a catch, there is always one, and that is the price. It is saucy out!! At €26 this is on the high end price was for a concealer. Yet in saying that, I would pay every single cent again and again for this concealer, it is just that good. I bought the colour Vanilla . This is a yellow toned colour and it is a shade lighter than my foundation. It comes in 10 different shades, but there are enough shades to suit even the lightest and darkest skin tones. You can buy it from Brown Thomas for €26 plus delivery or on Look Fantastic for €26.47 but this has free delivery. Ladies if you suffer with dark circles then honestly this is the concealer for you.
