As a beauty blogger I am lucky enough to try out different treatments and salons. While there are many that I have throughly enjoyed and raved about, a recent visit to Neelu at Arnotts completely took my breathe away and blew everything I have ever tried out of the water!
Neelu’s Beauty Services is nestled away beside the Pandora counter on the ground floor in Arnotts. Neelu offers a range of treatments, including nails, threading, massages, and semi permanent makeup, but it is Neelu’s knowledge and talent when it comes to skin care that makes her truly amazing.
I am lucky to have fairly good skin. For the most part I look after my skin and have a decent skin care regime, which has left my skin in good condition. I have also been lucky enough to try out many fabulous treatments, that has kept my skin is looking well. However, lately my skin has been a little lack lustre and my foundation just hasn’t been sitting right. I felt that I looked tired and was beginning to show my age. When I went to Neelu for my treatment, the first thing she did was cleanse my skin and remove all my makeup so she could take a closer look at my skin. Once all my makeup was removed, Neelu noticed that my skin had a small reaction to something I had used. I knew immediately what this was. Glam Glow really did not work with my skin at all. Not only that, my skin was quite dehydrated and in need of a good exfoliation to give it a bit of life. Neelu suggested that the best treatment for my skin, was the Perfector. This would give my skin the glow and lift that it needed.
Perfector is a non invasive alternative to a face lift, that uses electronic pluses to help regenerate your skin. You’re skin is prepped with the same gel that is used during an ultra sound, and Neelu wears gloves on her hands, that are linked to the perfector machine, to work your skin. The electronic pulses send a message to your brain to get your skin to start rejuvenating itself. Don’t be put off by the sound of electronic pulses, as I found the treatment quite relaxing. Yes, I did feel the odd tingle and a little flash of light around the eye area every so often, but it was not uncomfortable at all.

To show me the effect of the treatment, Neelu first treated the left hand side of my face. When she had finished this side, she gave me a mirror and asked me to give her an honest opinion of what I saw. While I could see a light improvement in the brightness of my skin, there was nothing blatantly obvious. However, when she suggested I sat up and had a look, I was blown away with what I saw. There was a visible difference in the two sides of my face. The treated side was visibly higher, brighter and more toned looking. Not only that. I had been freaking out lately over lines that had appeared on my forehead, but the side that had been treated no longer had lines!! It turns out these lines were not age lines, but instead my skin was dehydrated and the Perfector had plumped them back out again. Ladies, I can not tell you how much I was absolutely gobsmacked with how my skin looked.
Once finished, Neelu applied a mask full of wonderful ingredients and left me to relax for a short time. When I was completely finished, Neelu applied a small amount of some mineral makeup to my skin, as she believes not only is it unfair for a lady to have to go out in public with a completely bare face, but also that our face needs a barrier to all the toxins in the air. This little touch was fantastic, as I wanted to get a little bit of shopping done after leaving the salon and I didn’t have to feel bad about myself walking around the shops.
I honestly could not stop looking at myself in the mirror. I looked years younger. My skin was not only looking brighter and fresher, but it was looking a lot more toned. This treatment has blown anything I have ever had out of the water. I know this is a fairly huge statement, but it is true. Also since having the treatment last week, my skin is still looks amazing. My makeup is sitting so much better and my skin looks fresh and younger. As recommended by Neelu, I have been using pure hyluronic acid to help with the dehydration in my skin.
