Nude Lipstick for every budget

I love a good nude lipstick. Something easy to wear, yet a lipstick that gives a wow finish. I have picked out my 10 most used nude lipsticks from the past few months for today’s post.

One thing I will add is that for the most part I wear a lip liner with these lipstick. If you want a versatile lipliner, I can’t recommend Mac Whirl lipstick enough. It goes with almost every one of these lipsticks.

Mac Faux

There isn’t much lipstick left in my tube of Faux . I have worn this colour to death!!! Faux is a warm pink satin finish lipstick. This colour is so incredibly easy to wear. It is a really, my lips but better shade. This lipstick is incredibly creamy and yet as creamy as it is, it lasts quite a while on the lips. What I love about this colour is when it wears off, it does so evenly and doesn’t look odd on your lips. I tend to wear this with Soar or Edge to Edge lipliner. You can buy Mac in Brown Thomas or Arnotts for €20. Or with Brown Thomas online here.

Mac Twig

While I tend not to wear Twig as much as I would some of my other Mac Lipsticks, I thought I would include it as it, as I know there are so many the love this shade. Twig is about a half shade darker than Faux. It has a little more brown tones to it than pink tones, but it is still in the same colour family as faux. Again, Twig is a satin finish and wears really well on  the lips all day.

Urban Decay Naked

Naked is another pink toned nude lipstick. It was released as part of the 120 strong Vice lipstick collection in 2016. It is an extremely creamy, yet relatively long wearing lipstick that leaves the lips feeling somewhat hydrated. I wear a range of lipliners with this but Rimmel East end snob is lovely with it. You can buy Urban Decay Naked from Debenhams here for €18.50.

Nars Audacious Anna

Ok, I know I am pushing my luck putting this shade in a neutrals post, but I had to tell you about it. I am actually shocked that I haven’t posted about this lipstick before. For those of you that haven’t heard to the Nars Audacious lipsticks, they are so unbelievably luxurious. Anna is very cream, yet doesn’t feather around the lips and last and lasts throughout the day. They are expensive. They cost €30 from Brown Thomas here or €28 from Look Fantastic here.

Wet n Wild Bare it all

Those of you that have read my blog for a while, will know how I feel about the word Dupe. However, Wet n Wild’s Bare it all is the closet I’ve ever come to a dupe. This not only looks the same but wears the same as Mac Velvet Teddy! Velvet Teddy just has a very slight edge. However, at €2.99 Bare it all is 100% a lipstick everybody needs in their makeup bag. It is a pinky brown toned colour, that works well on most skin tones, although the brown tones may come through a little more. It is comfortable Matte lipstick, that wears really well throughout the day. I wear it with Mac Spice or Whirl lipliner. You can buy it in Pharmacies nationwide, Dunnes Stores and Pennys for €2.99

Mac Cream Cup

This is a creme sheen lipstick that feels creamy on the lips.  It is a blue toned pink nude colour, which makes it perfect for Irish skin. This is the perfect lipstick for day time, as while it gives you the look that you’re wearing a pink lipstick, it isn’t in your face. I love to wear it with Rimmel Eastend snob lipliner all over the lid and creame cup on top. Again you can buy it in Brown Thomas or Arnotts for €20. Or with Brown Thomas online here.

Mac Driftwood

Mac Driftwood is part of the Mac liptensity range that was released last year. This is one of the most incredibly beauty nude lipsticks. I can’t tell you just how much I love this shade! Driftwood is a nude with a hint of mauve and grey in it. It is extremely creamy and wears well throughout the day. It isn’t as long wearing as some of the other creamy lipsticks I’ve included. However, the longevity honestly doesn’t bother me because the colour is just so beautiful. I wear this with Mac Whirl and just feel they are the perfect match. You can buy Driftwoods from Brown Thomas or Arnotts for €22. Or with Brown Thomas online here.

Note Mattemoist lipstick –  Sprit

These matte moist lipsticks are so beautiful to wear. While they are matte, they aren’t a drying matte as the name suggests. They are incredibly comfortable to wear and yet long lasting on the lips. I was actually quite surprised at how long this wore on the lips. Even though it wore well, I didn’t feel the slightest bit of drying! Sprit is a on the brown side of nude shades and works really well with Mac Whirl lipliner. You can buy it here for €7.95

Mac Viva Glam ii

Before I bought Viva Glam ii, I hadn’t heard all that much about it. Yet, the second I had it on my lips, it seemed that everyone already knew about it . It was like the secret lovely nude that nobody talks about!! This is a beautiful nude mauve colour, with the tiniest hint of shimmer. Like most of the lipsticks I have included in this post, it is a satin finish, so lasts really well on the lips. If you’re looking for the perfect 90s retro lipstick, then this is it!
