Are you fed up with buying candles in glass jars and throwing them out? Well that can all stop now. Did you know these jars can be used again for a number of different ways to brighten up your home. So let me show you how.
First job, is to get the residue wax out of the bottom of the jar and this couldn’t be simpler. If you have a microwave pop the old wick out of the candle, then pop the jar into the microwave. I would keep this at a low heat so that the wax doesn’t actually melt to a liquid but just gets soft enough to pop out of the glass/jar. This should take about 10 seconds depending on your microwave, keep an eye on it.
Once softened you should be able to turn the glass jar upside down and the residue wax should just slide out. If it’s being a little difficult just get a knife and leverage it out.
Once all the wax is removed from the jar, wash out your jar and hey presto you are ready to resuse your jar.
There are so many things you can do with these jars. The list is endless
To reuse as a candle holder pop in some pillar and or tea lights and spark up. Instant warmth to your room.
If you want to add a bit more to the empty glass, why not throw a few unwanted beads, pebbles, shells whatever you like into the bottom and snuggle in a tea light on top? Simple, elegant and won’t cost you a penny.
Best of all. You can use taller jars for storing makeup brushes.
