November Favourites

Holy Lord how is November over already? This must have been the quickest month all year! I am however so excited that it is December. I love Christmas and the parities in the run up to Christmas week. I can’t wait to try out a few glittery eye looks. Anyway onto my favourites.

Universal Bronzer Soleil Tan De Chanel

Universal Bronzer Soleil Tan De Chanel

I have had this in my makeup draw since the summer, but I have only really started using it this month. I previously found that I wasn’t putting it on correctly but after watching Tiffany D’s foundation routine on YouTube I gave it another go. I find the Real Techniques buffing brush is perfect for applying bronzer. It is expensive, but it is worth it, especially when pair with the Chanel illuminating liquid.
L’ Oréal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

L’ Oréal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

This is a perfect daytime foundation. It is so light on the face and it hardly looks like you are wearing makeup. It instead makes your skin look like a better version of itself.  This foundation has good staying power. I would get at least 6 to 8 hours before I need to top up and doesn’t go blotchy when it is wearing off. The only downside to this foundation is the shade range. I wear warm Ivory and this is the second lightest shade. If you have very fair skin this is not the foundation for you. L’ Oréal Nude Magique is very good value, especially when it is said to be an exact dupe for Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation.
The Body Shop Smoky Plum Palette

The Body Shop Smoky Plum Palette

These have definitely been my go to eyeshadows this month. They are just so pigmented and easy to apply. You can read my full review here but all I can say it don’t let this little beauty go out of stock before it is in your makeup bag.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup setting spray

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup setting spray

This stuff does exactly what it says on the tin. When I am finished doing my makeup I lightly spray this on my face and it keeps my makeup on all night. This is perfect if you need your makeup to stay put without budging. I bought the 30ml bottle as I only use it when I am going out at night or have a long day. I will definitely repurchase this when it runs out. This is perfect for the Christmas party season.
Barry M Nail Varnish

Barry M Nail Varnish

I am actually a bit of a failure as a female when it comes to nail varnish. I just can’t for the life of me put it on properly. I hadn’t tried Barry M nail varnish before when I picked it up in Boots Liffey Valley a few weeks ago. This nail varnish is great. While it does take a while to dry, it lasts at least 2 days before chipping. This is an absolute miracle for me as I am very hard on nail varnish and hardly get a few hours before chipping. They also look like a shellac nail varnish when they dry on the nails. I will absolutely be picking up a few more of these when I am in Boots next.
