Powder pocket February box

Well my god am I happy I signed up to the Powder Pocket box. I decided to signed up at the end of January, when I got so fed up with the bad run of boxes from Glossybox and thought it was time to give another box a chance.
Powder Pocket is an Irish beauty box subscription, based in Tuam. Co.Galway, which was set up last year by a Connacht rugby player called Michael Swift. Yes, you heard me correctly, a rugby player launched a beauty box. Sure it takes all kinds to make the beauty world go round.
The fist box was launched in Novemeber and I have been keeping a close eye on the contents of each box before I signed up. The first 3 boxes have been consistently amazing and the Feburary box was no different. To me this is how a beauty box should look. Bursting with high end samples and full size products.
What I like about this box is, unlike some other boxes, you can sign up on a rolling month to month subscription. It costs €12 a month plus postage and is delivered to the door by a courier once a month. I even got a tweet from @powderpocketbox to tell me that my box was on its way. Now that is serious customer service
This months box has pulled inspiration from awards season and had the theme of “leading lights” and included products to give you a ” star quality” and my god did it live up to the theme.

Jessica Brilliance Top Coat

This top coat offers a fast drying high gloss finish to your nail polish.  I have tried and liked Jessica nail polishes before and look forward to using this on the weeks when I am between manicures. This is a full size product and costs €13.95 and can be bought here.

The Body Shop – Shea Shower cream

I have never actually seen the body shop in a beauty box before, but I really think it is the perfect product for a box like this. I love tgod quality travel size products, that are perfect for taking on planes and this really fits that bracket. I am a big fan of the body shop, as all their products are bursting full of fragrance and goodness. The shea butter shower cream has a ridiculously good smell and leaves your skin feeling soft and full of moisture. A full size bottle is 250ml and will set you back €8.95

Shiseido – Benefiance Pure Retional Eye mask

So this is exactly the type of product that should be in a beauty box. A high end sample, that will tempt me to buy even more. These 15 monte express eye wrinke masks promise to instantly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkes around the yes and mouth area. Eh hells yes, bring it on. You use them after cleansing the skin, by applying them to clean dr skin and leaving them work their magic for 15 minutes and then lash on a little bit of eye cream. This pack contains one maskand a full size packet contains 12 masks and will will set you back a col €63, but sure if they work you would pay it.

Manicare – 4 step File and shine

I have a confession. I actually don’t own a nail file. I know, I am an absolute disgrace, so this full size nail file will come in handy. You can buy this file for €2.50 in pharmacies nationwide.

Herra protect hair perfume

I’m taking this product in the box as a sign that the gods are telling me I need to get Great Lengths hair extensions. I don’t think I will rest easy until I get them. I am more than a little obsessed with Great lengths extensions.
Herra protect hair perfume is a finishing product that protects your hair while at the same time leaves it smelling yummy. This stuff sells out all the time and can be hard to get your hands on, so I am very excited to try out this sample.
A full size bottle will set you back €29.50 and can be bought here .
Total cost of the box
Manicare file and shine €2.50
Jessica Brillance top coat €13.95
The Body Shop Shea Shower cream €2.40 (aprox)
Shiseido Benefiance pure regional eye mask €5.25
Herra Protect Hair perfume – too small to calculate
Total cost = €24.10 aprox
I would highly recommend signing up to a Powder Pocket box. So far the quality of the boxes have been exceptional.  There have been a few Irish beauty boxes launched over the last few months, but for me The Powder Pocket box is the absolute best hands down. I also feel good about the fact that I am supporting an Irish company . You can subscribe  here.
