The first step with addictions is admitting you have a problem and my god I have a problem with it comes to pink lipsticks. The problem is I just can’t get enough of them. I want them all. My boyfriend often says ” you bought another pink lipstick? Sure you have a pink lipstick already” Eh NO. Does he not realise how many shades of pink there are? How in the grand scheme of things I only have a teeny tiny percentage of the pinks that are out there. Does he not know how many lonely pinks I have left behind, or I have not found yet?
For today’s post, I picked a selection of my most used and loved pink lipsticks. They are a mix of high end and budget brands and I promise you, not a single one will disappoint you.
Urban Decay Revolution lipstick – Obsessed
I bought this lipstick in January when I was in Florida. The minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Obsessed is a bright baby pink colour. It is quite a cool toned and has lovely creamy finish. The colour pay off on this colour is serious. It wears well, but wouldn’t be dramatically long lasting. You would get an hour or two max and then you will need to top up. It is on the expensive end of lipsticks at €18.91, but I believe the colour makes it totally worth it. You can buy it here.
Revlon Colourburst lip butter -Strawberry Shortcake
This is a recent addition to my collection, and my god she is lovely. This is a blue toned pink, with a little bit of shimmer running through it. It has good colour payoff, but is slightly sheerer than most of my pinks as you can see from the swatch above. It is very buttery on the lips, and as a result, while it wears well ,it is definitely not a long lasting lipstick. They are a little on the expensive side for a “drug store” brand, but if you hurry now, Boots have an offer on that you can buy 2 Revlon products for €12. Bargain!!! You can buy this colour here.
Inglot 254
Those of you that follow me on Facebook, will not be surprised to see this lipstick feature. I seriously love this colour. I wear it more than any other lipstick I own. 254 is a pale but warm pink colour. It has really good colour pay off, is creamy on the lips and is ridiculously long wearing. I can wear this for 4ish hours without retouching. You can read a full review here. I am a massive fan of Inglot lipstick, they have a serious colour range, they are long wearing and budget friendly at €14 each.
Mac Amplified – Something new
This is not a lipstick for the faint hearted or those that are scared of colour, as this lippy is seriously pigmented. This is a hot pink colour, that has a great colour payoff. It is really long lasting on the lips, and you get really good wear time from it. When it does wear off, it leaves a lovely stain on the lips. It has a lovely creamy texture and doesn’t feather out into fine lines and wrinkles. Like all Mac lipsticks, it is saucy at €19, but if you have tried any Mac lipsticks before, you will already know that they are so worth it.
Rimmel Moisture renew- As you want Victoria
This lipstick is one that I have worn again and again. It is the most gorgeous magenta colour and it is seriously moisturising on the lips. Like most of the lipsticks that I have picked, it has really good colour payoff, but it isn’t the most long lasting of the bunch. Again this doesn’t bother me that much, as I tend to top up my lipstick regularly anyways. You need to be careful when wearing this, as due to the fact it is very moisturising on the lips, it has a tendency to move around a little. I have ended up with it half way up my face. In scything that, the colour is so beautiful I don’t mind any of the down sides. You can buy is at any Rimmel Stand or online here
Urban Decay Revolution lipstick – Jilted
I know, another Urban Decay lipstick, but the shade range is the revolution line is just so good. Jilted is a deep toned fuchsia with more of a blue tone to it. This colour is the deepest out of all the colours I have picked and is suited to both summer and winter wear. Like Obsessed, it goes on really well and is very pigmented, however I do find this last longer on the lips. It wears away well and leaves a lovely stain on the lips.
