Buying makeup in the duty-free doesn’t count as spending! Or at least that is what I always tell myself. I tend to buy my makeup either online, or when someone is travelling through the duty-free, as it makes sense because it is cheaper. When going on holidays recently, I had planned on having a leisurely browse around duty-free and pick myself up a few items that I didn’t already have. I actually love doing this and genuinely look forward to getting to the airport so I can have a mooch. However, I had a two-year old with me! Conor decided that…

As a blogger, I am fortunate enough to try out a lot of new products every month. Somethings I love, some a bit meh and others are just not great at all. With so much product coming through the door, I don’t always find the time to write individual blog posts reviewing everything I get. In fact at the moment I am finding it hard to get more than one post a week up! So to try and tell you about as much new makeup bits as possible, I have decided to write a new monthly series. Each month, I am…

With so many products coming through the door everyday both from generous companies and from my secret online shopping escapades, I tend to switch up the products I use quite a bit. I always make sure to give products thorough testing before I review them, but I often find that once the blog post is written, it is onto the next product that needs reviewing. However, even though I change my products quicker than the Irish weather on a summers day, I always have my die hard products that I fall back on. My ride or die products. Ride of die…

A few weeks ago I was sent a number of products to try out from the Wet n Wild new releases. Long time readers of the blog will know that I am a big Wet n Wild fan and many of their products are in my regular makeup rotation. Like with any makeup brand, there will be products that suit you and some that don’t. For today’s post I have picked out my star buys from the new releases that not only hold their own with other affordable brands, but in some cases rival that of their higher end counterparts. Megaliner…

With the winter fast approaching, it is time to bring a little colour into our lives and embrace glowy cheeks for the cold days ahead. When it comes to blushers, I have many favourites, but right up there at the top is Mac blushers. Yes I know, I am a more than a little bit of a Mac fan girl, but sure what harm. When buying blushers from Mac, I strongly suggest that you ditch buying blushers in the packaging and instead opt for the pan format. The reason being a regular blusher in packaging costs €24 compared to the blusher in…

Before I even begin to talk about the blushers, can we just take a second to admire the absolute beauty that is the packaging and colours of the new Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour blusher. I mean look at them! They are absolute beauties. For the past few weeks I have trailed 3 colours from the new Afterglow 8 hour blushers, that were recently released as part of the Urban Decay summer collection. Urban Decay have really gone all out when it comes to colour, and while there is a colour to suit most, many of these shades are…

The love affair with Mac continues, and my latest love is this beautiful blusher for spring time, Peachykeen. I am placing full blame on Kate Mc Cormack makeup for this one, as I recently saw her rave about it on her Facebook page and it really would have been rude not to go out and buy it. Like all Mac blushers Peachykeen comes in very nondescript packing. I suppose when you have a great product, what is the need to faff about with fancy looking packaging. Mac tend to let the product do the talking itself. Peachykeen has is a sheertone…

Considering the amount of makeup I own, I find it astounding that this is my very first item from Clinique’s makeup range. I have tried out their skin care products before and liked them, but for some reason or other, I have never taken the plunge with their makeup. I recently received a voucher for Debenhams and decided to take the plunge and buy the Clinque Sculptionary cheek contouring palette. The Clinique Sculptionary cheek contouring palette comes in four different colours. Defining Nectars, Defining Roses, Defining Nudes and the one I bought, Defining Berries. When I swatched all of them in the…

Last week I posted a picture of a mini NYX haul on Facebook and so many of you asked me to give a recommendation of my top products. It is overwhelming standing in front of a packed stand and not knowing what to buy. So here are my top picks from NYX, so you know exactly what to pick up on your next trip to a NYX stand Butter Gloss I have actually lost count at of how many of these I have. There are 12 different colours in this collection, with a colour to suit everyone and at this stage…

At this time of the year our skin needs every little bit of help it can get to give it a bit of a glow. Once the weather changes, I find that my skin looks so lack lustre and dull. One of my favourite things to do to bring life to my face, is to use a blusher with a little bit of shimmer in it and right now my favourite blusher for doing this is Mac Margin. Margin is one of the most popular blushers from Mac. I am a big fan of Mac blushers, as I find them…

I’ve had this blusher and bronzer combo in my drawer for the last few months and it was only a few weeks ago, while shopping my stash, that I took it out to give it a go. Since my very first use, I was kicking myself that I hadn’t taken it out sooner to use as it is quite simply perfect. The bronzer and blusher are housed in a white plastic compact with a mirror inside. The compact is quite sturdy, as I have had it knocking about in my bag for the last two weeks and it’s still in…
