The Beautiful truth Interiors – Gallery wall

Hi all, thanks for clicking onto The Beautiful Truth and taking a moment out of your day to read this blog.

I am a first time blogger and delighted to join the team but if I am honest, I am a little bit nervous about this. I hope my blogs will be informative and offer some inspiration to everyone reading. I am not sure what the best angle is to take and what people would be most interested in seeing me write about, so if you have any suggestions I would be more than delighted to take them on board!

So here it goes my first blog… I thought I’d write about something that I am currently just in love with… Photo/Gallery Walls.

I have always loved photographs. I love how a photo can bring back a million memories and tell a thousand stories. I love to get my photographs printed and then spend hours chosing my favourites to go into frames. I also think that a framed photograph is one of the best gifts to give or receive.

Empty walls in a room would be one of my pet hates but it’s not always easy to find the perfect painting for a room. Gallery Walls can bring flair and style to any size space. In an instant they will turn your room from blah to beautiful.

Photo/Gallery walls can be implemented into any room in your house or apartment and you can incorporate as many photographs or pictures as you please. They add great warmth and character to any room. If you have a particular colour scheme going on in your room you can match up your frames to this colour but I think it is best to keep your frames neutral so that the gallery is the centrepiece.

The key to the most interesting and fun Gallery Walls is to mix and match with different size frames. Below is chart of different ways for you to assemble your photo/ gallery wall.

The best news about creating a gallery wall is that you can do so relatively inexpensively. Below are some of my favourite frames, all available in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes.

Dunnes Stores €5
Ikea €8

Paul Costelloe Living from €15
(my personal favourite)

Great post! I’ve really got into photographs up around my room etc over the last few months, they make such a difference, I never bothered before as I thought they would look too cluttered. I love Dunnes and Woodies for frames

What a brilliant post! I too love loads of photographs on my walls, especially of old Hollywood movie stars.
