The Body Shop colour crush eyeshadows

DSC_1100Autumn is my absolute favourite time of the year. I love getting into cosy clothes and boots, my favourite thing about Autumn is the colours. I love nothing more than driving through the country seeing all the gorgeous rustic colours in the trees and on the ground. As corny as it sounds, these colours really fill me full of all kinds of happiness. This Autumn, The Body shop colour Crush eyeshadow range, have captured the autumnal colours perfectly and they really are a thing of beauty.

DSC_1089The Body Shop have expanded their Colour Crush eyeshadow range with 6 absolutely stunning eyeshadows. The colours range include a Rustic copper, chocolate brown, mustard, and highlighter to name a few. Not only are the colours in this range ridiculously beautiful, but the people over at The Body Shop, have travelled the world to source pigments and Fair Trade oils to give a real impact of colours. Don’t you just love when gorgeous products, are also helping people in need out?

Each of the eyeshadows are extremely pigmented and have fantastic colour pay off. The are creamy and apply to the lids like butter on bread .In fact you would be hard pushed to find an eyeshadow that is as creamy as these.  The colour crush eyeshadows are really beautiful to work with and they blend like a dream. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the quality of these eyeshadows

Coco Deluxe

DSC_1106Coco Deluxe is a beautiful rich chocolate brown colour. It is full of warmth and when swiped over the lid as a single colour, so many different tones come through. This colour can be worn as a single colour for a quick no fuss, but high impact look, or as I like to wear it, on the outer corner of the eye and slightly into the crease.

Golden Cinnamon

DSC_1123This is my favourite colour in the collection and one that I have worn quite a lot in the last number of weeks. It is a copper toned eyeshadow, with a hint of shimmer running through it. Like with Coco Deluxe, this is the most perfect colour for a one shadow look and it is divine on blue eyes. I recently featured this as part of my one swipe eyeshadow post.

Sunshine Love

DSC_1139Is that not just the most beautiful name for an eyeshadow? This is probably the scariest colour in the collection, but when used in the correct way, it is fab. Sunshine love, is an intense mustard colour. It is perfect for a pop of colour . I wear this in the crease with golden cinnamon on the lid and buffed into the lower crease. To deepen the look, pop a small bit of coco deluxe in the outer v. Do not be put off by the unusual colour, embrace it as the finished look is worth it.

Gorgeous Gold

DSC_1116The name of this eyeshadow really says it all. It is a lovely gold colour that is perfect on the lid, with coco deluxe. It is more on the yellow side of the gold colour, so I found I reached for this colour the least. I think this would be much better suited on darker skin tones than mine.

Champagne Kiss

DSC_1131This picture doesn’t do this colour justice. This is a really good every day lid colour. It is an unusual colour as it is a mix between a cool silver and gold. This is probably the colour most suited to all eye colours.

Gold Romance

DSC_1136This is 100% my most reached for colour lately, as it is the perfect highlight colour. I use this as an inner corner colour and on the brow bone.It is beautiful, stubble and gives the area it is applied to a beautiful pop of shimmer.

photo-5While some of these colours may be a little scarier to wear colour wise than others, do not be put off by the vibrancy of these colours. The payoff of colour on the eyes, is well worth the €12.95 price. These colours, along with 30 others are available as part of the colour crush eyeshadow collection, in all Body Shop stores.
