The Body Shop Smoky Plum Palette

Oh how I love this time of year. I just love the run up to Christmas and everything that goes with it. If I was allowed, I’d have my Christmas tree up in September . One of my favourite things about Christmas is all the lovely gift sets a palettes that are launched. The Body Shop is not a name I normally associate with makeup, so this little beauty was a real surprise for me.

The  Smoky eye palette in Plum comes in a sleek little black compact which would be perfect for travelling.  It contains 4 different eyeshadows and 2 little mini brushes.  The eyeshadows are so pigmented and really easy to work with. They blend beautifully to create a lovely smokey nighttime eye or a more subtle daytime look.

One of the features I love about this palette is the step by step instructions on the back to create a striking nighttime smokey eye. The instructions give people that don’t have the confidence to play around with different colours a crutch to assist them. I know my mam and sister would love these instructions.

The gift set I picked up also had an all over body shimmer included. The body glitter/shimmer comes in a little glass bottle with a puffer attached.  It gives a light dusting of glitter when sprayed. I am a sucker for stuff like this so I absolutely love this. If I am honest it was probably the Body shimmer that sold me on this gift set initially.

I think this gift set would be a lovely present for any lady for Christmas. The eyeshadows are so easy to use and even somebody who doesn’t spend long on their makeup can get a fab smokey eye for the party season. This will be a palette I use again and again. The palette can be bought here
