Thrifty Tuesday – eBay Necklace haul

necklace haulA few weeks back I posted on The Beautiful Truth Facebook page, about a little bit of bargain hunting I had taken part in on eBay. Aisling from Total Makeup Addict had recently posted about some gorgeous necklaces that she had bought on eBay and with a glass of wine in hand, off I went on a little bit of a shopping spree on ebay.  Aisling really is one of my main enablers.

photoI love Statement jewellery. I have 2 jewellery hangers from Pennys, hanging in the inside of my wardrobe with my copious amount of necklaces hanging from them. When I read Aisling’s post and saw the bargains she had gotten, I knew I had to buy some. A girl can never have too many necklaces.

Ebay is a great source of bargains. I have bought everything from clothes and makeup, to shower heads and taps for the bathroom off ebay. It is a safe source of buying, but there are some scam artists on it, so you have to take care when  buying.  My main tip for when buying from ebay, is to buy from a Top seller, or for someone who has over 98.9% positive feedback and lots of feedback at that. Do no buy from someone who has hardly any feedback or a bad percentage of good feedback. If you do this,  you won’t get scammed. To find necklaces, all you need to do is type in Statement necklace into the eBay search and off you go.

All of the necklaces below came all the way from China, so delivery took between 2-3.5 weeks. If you are buying these, you wouldn’t want to be in a hurry. In all cases postage and packaging was free.

DSC_2665First up was the thick rope tied knot short necklace. This sits a little shorter on the neck then what I normally like, but it is a fab statement necklace when wearing all black. You can buy it here for €2.80. I also bought it in a fluorescent pink colour for the same price.

DSC_2691I love this necklace. It is so gorgeous on. The ribbon can be tied to make the necklace longer or shorter. This one took a little longer than the others for delivery. You can buy it here for €2.20

DSC_2683This was my least favourite of all the necklaces. It looks cheap and plastic and doesn’t sit very nice on the neck. This one arrived after a week, so maybe have a look at the seller and their other products if you are looking for a quicker delivery. You can buy this necklace here for €2.65.

DSC_2677This is my favourite necklace out of all that I bought. It is so gorgeous on and really brightens up any outfit. This was the 2nd to arrive after around 2 weeks. You can buy it here for €2.70.

DSC_2667I have seen a few people wearing this necklace on Facebook and Twitter. This one took the longest to arrive, but this little lady was worth waiting for. It sits beautifully on the neck and adds a little bit of shine to any outfit. You can buy it here for €2.30.

Over all the 7 necklaces cost me €15.45 in total, including postage and packing. Now if that isn’t a bargain I don’t know what is. Once I come back off my holidays I will be going for round 2 of necklaces.
