Ok, I know what you’re all thinking. Here she goes again, with another liquid lipstick. Over the past 18 months or so, there just seems to be one liquid lipstick release after another and for the most part, people are getting tired of the never ending launches. However, I had to tell you about the Too Faced Melted Mattes because they are honestly just beautiful to wear.
There are 16 shades in the range with every thing from your everyday nude, right up to violets and navy!! Over the past few months I have been wearing 3 shades from the range quite a lot. Cool Girl, Queen B and Miso Pretty and I really do love how these wear.
The packaging of the Melted mattes is lovely. They come in a a triangular clear bottle with a lovely doe foot applicator. I find the applicator is great for applying the product neatly to the lips. Each bottle contains about 11mls of product or 0.4oz if you prefer the old language!

Cool Girl
What makes these stand out from other liquid lipsticks in the formula. The consistency of the melted mattes is really quite thin, so it makes it a lot easier to apply to the lips. Not only that, once they are applied thinly to the lips, they feel incredibly comfortable to wear.

Queen B
Don’t worry about the thin consistency effecting the colour, as they are completly opaque on the lips and the colour payoff is excellent. One thing I will say is the colour does look a little different in the tube, swatched and when applied to the lips. As you can see in the pictures below, what you see on the hand is not what you get on the lips.

Miso Pretty
While they do apply beautifully to the lips, the apply almost like a gloss and take a good few seconds to set. However, they do set to a beautiful comfortable matte finish. I would be inclined to say this is one of the better liquid lipsticks for people with dry skin, as I didn’t find they drying in the slightest.
I found the wear time excellent with these and you will easily get 5 hours wear out of them without reapplying. If however you eat something very oily, they will wear off, but that is normal.
The only downside to these is that they are a little on the expensive side at €23, but if you’re looking to treat yourself then I highly recommend picking one of these up. You can get them in Debenhams or online here.
