Today’s guest blogger is someone I followed long before I began blogging myself. Hannah is the blogger behind Love Life and Makeup. I have read Love Life and Makeup for a long time and love Hannah’s style of writing and her mix of both fashion and beauty in her posts. Love Life and Makeup has been nominated for numerous awards including Best designed blog two years running in the Company magazine blog awards, Best Beauty blog in the Irish blog awards and The BOPs to name but a few. When you have finished reading her post below, you can catch up on Hannah’s blog here, and follow her on both Facebook and Twitter. Can I also just add, I need those boots marked number 9 in the post below!
I’m delighted to be guest posting on The Beautiful Truth today…Thank you so much to Sinead for asking me it was my pleasure. With stores already getting in their next season wears ready for Autumn/Winter I thought I would share with you my top picks from the new Penneys/Primark range. Most of these items aren’t available till September so you’re also getting a sneak peak of what’s to come, enjoy!
Cream Long Fluffy Coat:
This long fluffy coat definitely looks like it will keep you toasty this winter. Cream and white are still going to be popular throughout Autumn/Winter, as well as the usual seasonal shades. Although long coats wouldn’t really be my thing, it seems like they are going to be very popular in the coming months. Available In stores from September for €30.
Dog Tooth Maxi Coat:
Another long coat, this time in the ever popular Dog Tooth print. Monochrome is always a hit in the winter months as are prints which keeps clothing interesting and fun when it’s time to wrap up warm. Available in stores from September for €40.
Red False Fur Collar coat:
False fur is one of those love/hate pieces as it can quickly turn from stylish to tacky if worn incorrectly. However false fur is going to be heavy featured this year, so whether you’re a fan or not your going have to get used to seeing it around. I think this piece works really well with the balance of fur and the bold red coat. I would team it with something simple and plain, either all black or jeans and a simple jumper to not over style this already bold statement piece. Available In stores from September for €30.
Fluffy Multi Coloured short sleeve jumper:
Fluffy jumpers were hugely popular last year and I have to admit I’m a fan, I love the cosy yet on trend look that they have. This one I especially like due to its multi-coloured flecks throughout. The short sleeves aren’t going to make it a hit with everyone but it could look really pretty if teamed with an A-line skirt and tights in the colder months. In stores from July for €17.
Gold Floral Jacquard Dress:
This metallic jacquard dress is a statement piece for any festivities this winter, it is the perfect party dress for the coming months. The print teamed with gold metallic fabric make this a stand out dress. Available In stores from October for €16.
One thing I wished I had picked up last year was a good pair of gloves, and I don’t mean woolly ones. I mean a nice sleek pair like these studded black beauties. These are one of the many pieces that are top of my wish list for this winter. They are so versatile and will keep your hands warm while still being bang on trend. Available in stores from September for €10.
Herring Bone and leather look Gloves:
If you are looking for something slightly more feminine to keep your hands warm this winter, these herring bone and bow gloves are perfect. Teamed with a heavy winter coat, these will be the perfect cold weather accessory. Available in stores from September for €10.
Pastle Pink Shoulder Bag:
I picked this beauty up as soon as I saw it, you can’t beat the price and it looks and feels a lot more expensive than it is. Although pastle colours are mostly seen as Spring/Summer shades winter is also the perfect time to look pretty in cool blues and baby pinks. Available in stores now for €7.
Knee High Heeled Boots:
Boots are obviously a winter classic and these are no exception. I’m a huge fan of wearing boots with both jeans and dresses during autumn and winter. I think they can really dress up an outfit, whilst providing the appropriate warmth of footwear needed. Available in stores from September for €20.
10. Metallic Loafer Shoes:
My last pick is probably going to split the vote the most. Although Loafer style shoes are already popular not everyone has the confidence to try such a bold metallic. I personally think they are very cool, granted they are slightly on the tacky side but still fashion is about trends and I can see these being very popular. In stores in coming season for €15.
