Urban Decay Revolution High-Colour Lip gloss

DSC_4711Ready for a lick of vibrant colour for your lips this summer? Well the Urban Decay Revolution High-colour lip gloss are everything you could want and more from a summer lip gloss.

DSC_4719For the past few years, it seems that Urban Decay have spent a lot of time on the Naked path and while I am all for a little of their Naked goodness, it is great to see them introduce something new with these bright and bold, highly pigmented lip glosses for summer 2015.

Screen Shot 2015-04-26 at 16.01.20The new Revolution High Colour Lip gloss range has 14 shade available and range from Light pinks and nudes, all the way up to a beautiful vibrant purples and brick reds. There is seriously a colour to suit everyone in this range.

Urban Decay promises a high coverage, ultra pigmented formula and the Revolution High-Colour Lip gloss surely don’t disappoint. These lip glosses pack a serious punch. In my opinion the pigmentation is more in line with that of a liquid lipstick and not a traditional lip gloss. In fact while they might have the label of lip gloss, they perform far better than any lip gloss I’ve tried.

The Revolution High-Colour Lipgloss go onto the lips beautifully . I’ve tried two colour, Liar and fail bait. I found that Liar only needed one coat to get an opaque colour, while Failbait needed two coats to build up to the full coverage. This isn’t an issue for me as once you apply the second layer it looks perfect.

Screen Shot 2015-04-26 at 16.06.47They wore really well during the day, and stayed in place with minimal bleeding. I found them comfortable and creamy on the lips, but they do get somewhat tacky. This didn’t bother me and from what I can gather this tackiness helps with the wear time of the lip gloss, but if you’re not a fan of a little bit of stickiness, then maybe these won’t be for you.

When it comes to wear time, I have heard claims of up to 4 or 5 hours wear. God I would love for a lip product to last that long on my lips.  I find very few lip products last that long on me. Must be all the talking and eating I do. The Revolution High-Colour Lipgloss did last relatively well on my lips, and I got at least 2 hours without having to reapply.

The Revolution high colour lip gloss will be available from Debenhams and House of Fraser from May 1st and will retail at €19.
