Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick

I am quickly gathering a very impressive lipstick collection. I have a serious rainbow of colours, that would make any lipstick lover proud. So when I spied these little beauties from Urban Decay I just couldn’t leave them behind.

Last Autumn, Urban Decay released the a range of lipsticks called Revolution. There are 22 shades of lipstick in this range, with everything from the brightest pink to nudes. They come in really sleek looking sliver tubes, with Urban Decay branding embossed down the side of the tube and on top of the lid.

The lipsticks themselves promise to be creamy, long-lasting, hydrating and nourishing. A tall order from a lipstick, but I have to say it delivers on all fronts. There is serious payoff in terms of colour with these lipsticks. They are extremely hydrating on the lips and they do feel really creamy and luxurious. However, where I feel they fall down slightly is on wear time. They claim to be long lasting and if you don’t eat or drink they last a good few hours, but the minute you begin to eat or drink, Bye Bye lipstick. This actually isn’t an issue for me as I top my lipstick up quite regularly.

I bought the shades Obsessed and Jilted and my god am I in love. Obsessed is described as a bright baby pink colour. This to me is a real daytime lipstick that adds a pop of colour. Perfect for brightening up a dull day and it will tie in really well with the pastel trends for spring and summer.

Jilted is described as a deep fuchsia with blue tones. My god this is gorgeous. The colour payoff is unreal. The pictures actually don’t do this colour justice and I have a feeling this will be my go to colour for nights out for a long time.

These lipsticks are on the top end price wise, costing €20 a pop. However, for the colour payoff and how hydrating and moist they are on the lips , I would 100% pay this again and plan on adding more colours from this range to my collection. They can be purchased at any Urban Decay counter or here for €18.76.
