My makeup collection has seriously grown on this trip. My wardrobe not so much. Im so disappointed with the clothes shopping and now I fear I am no longer able to shop!!! I have lost mo shopping mojo.
Hourglass Ambient lighting powder in Dim light
For those of you that haven’t heard of The hourglass Ambient lighting powders, they are basically finishing powders and highlighters that blur out fine lines and pores. I can’t rave about them enough and promise to do a full blog post on how they work asap. I was actually so annoyed that I bought this one as I already have it in my holiday palette. The only thing is it will get used as I seriously love these powders. This powder is brill for setting makeup and it really does make your skin look photoshopped. It is expensive at nearly €45 but it will last for ages and I think is it worth it.
Real Techniques Powder Brush
Yet another Real Techniques brush to add to my collection. These brushes are the business. They are affordable, long lasting and they do exactly what they say on the tin.One little gripe I have, is how cheap they are in the States compared to at home. How come we are getting ripped off.? This brush cost around €7 and you would easily pay twice that in Boots. Come on Real Techniques, sort it out.
Eos Lip balm
I gave into the hype of these lips balms. It’s basically a ball shaped lip balm. All the celebrities rave about them, loads of bloggers love it. I had to have it and it cost less that €3. Sure why not give it a try? Considering they cost nearly €7 at home. Bargain.
NYX Butter gloss
Ok So I am a little obsessed with this stuff. It is so creamy on the lips and not at all sticky. It doesn’t have great staying power, but find me a lip gloss that does! These lip butters would be great on their own or over a lipstick. I hope to buy a few more of these before I go home and at €3.50 each, sure why not?
Sigma Brushes
I love Sigma brushes. Especially their face brushes. They are so soft on the skin and excellent for applying different types of makeup. I have read so much about their tapered brushes and how great they are at getting into awkward areas on the face.I bought the F25 Tapered face brush for applying bronzer and my new ambient lighting finishing powders. The F86 Tapered Kabuki which can be used to apply cream products and finally the P86 precision tapered brush, which is used for applying and blending out concealer. All of these brushes cost €51 and they even threw in a free travel size f25 blending brush. I can’t recommend Sigma brushes highly enough and I will do a full review on these brushes once I have used them a few times. You can buy this directing from the Sigma website, but I warn ya shipping can be expensive. If you live in Ireland Cloud10beauty.com is a great alternative place to buy them.
Mac Prep and prime in Radiant Rose
I am always on the hunt for a new cream highlighter for contouring. I have heard so many good things about this that I decided that I should give it a go. It cost €20 and can be purchased on all Mac counters.
Nyx Blushers
It was only when I took photos of these that I realised how similar these are. I love Nyx blushers. They are very pigmented and easy to work with. I hope to get another 1 or 2 of these before I go home. They cost €3.50 each.
Nyx Lip Pencils
You can never have enough pencils in your collection. You will always find the need for more. I don’t spend loads on my lip liners. They have a job to do but the lipstick is far more important to me. I bought these 2 beauties as I know I have a number of lipsticks that will work with them.
Nyx Pigment
This is almost an exact dupe for Mac’s naked pigment and cost about 90% less. I haven’t used it yet but it is light and shimmery. What more could you want?
Elf Waterproof Eyeliner pen
I am not going to lie, I actually bought 3 of these. This is hands down the best eyeliner pen I have ever tried. I am rubbish at doing winged liner, but with this I have no problem getting the perfect winged look. They do dry out quickly and you will only get a month or 2 out of each pen but they are such good value. This cost less than 75c but you can buy it on Elf Uk here for around €3 depending on exchange rates.
