If you follow me on Facebook, you will already know of my love of these lipsticks and my hunt to find every single one in the collection.I have now managed to build my collection up to 4, not bad, but my quest for every colour is an on going one.
Wet n Wild megalast lipsticks come in 26 shades in total, but only 13 shades are available to Ireland. These lipsticks are a semi matte cream formula, that promise to glide on easily, with no feathering, caking or bleeding. They are said to be long lasting, with up to 4 hours wear time without retouching. So are all of these claims made my Wet n Wild true.
Wet n Wild megalast lipsticks are a full coverage, long lasting lipstick. They are completely opaque and seriously long lasting. I can wear them for at least 2-3 hours without touching up. Of course if you are eating or drinking a lot, this time reduces a little bit, but even still when they are wearing off, they wear off evenly and leave a lovely stain on your lips. These lipsticks have a semi matte formula, and unlike some matte lipsticks, they don’t dry out your lips. Even when rubbing your lips together, these lipsticks don’t flake or go bally like some lipsticks can.
The megalast lipsticks are seriously pigment and true to the colour in the tube. My favourite of the four that I have is spot light red. This is the most beautiful blue toned red and just makes your makeup pop. I wear this going out at night, but I have been bold and worn it during the day. Mauve outta here is a medium cool toned pink. This colour is perfect if you want colour on your lips without being too out there. Smokin hot pink has been on my lips quite a lot lately. This is a lovely bright pink without being too in your face. I wear this as more of a day colour, but then I do like a bright lip during the day. Finally Think Pink, is my least favourite of the colours I have. I actually picked this one up in the States at Christmas and I don’t wear it that often. This is a pale pink and can look a little chalky on the lips. When I put one of my NYX butter glosses on top it is a much more wearable colour.
Overall these lipsticks are simply fantastic. They have great pigmentation, are long wearing, there is a good range of colours, and best of all they only cost €2.99 a tube. I’m going to Florida this summer and I will literally come back with as many colours from the range as I can get my hands on. They are available in most Dunnes stores, and some Pennys and pharmacies. When you see them, grab as many as you can, as these lipsticks are seriously popular.
