I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but there seems to be a whole heap of you going off to the States. Every single day I get scores of messages asking for recommendations on what people should buy in Sephora, Macys, Ulta and more! So I decided an updated USA shopping list was in order.
Thankfully over the past few years there have been quite a number of brands arrive in Irish store, that were normally only available State side. However, there are still a few that elude us, so here are my must have items from Sephora and more!
Anastasia Beverly Hills
While we can now get access to the ABH palettes, highlighters and brow products, there are still a few items that they are holding back on giving us.
First up, the single Eyeshadows! Let me just say, buy as many of these as you can because the quality is incredible!! I adore these eyeshadows and they are probably one of the most used in my collection. While I bought all nude shades, there is a massive range of colours and they are incredibly beautiful to work with. They blend so well, have great colour pay off and they wear really well throughout the day. You can read a full review of the colours I have here, but on top of the ones that I bought, make sure to throw orange soda into your bag, as I regret not buying this one. You can buy the single ABH shadows in Macys and they cost $12 each but if you buy for they reduce the cost to $10 each.
Bite Cosmetics
This isn’t a brand I often hear people talk about but the Bite Cosmetics lipsticks are incredibly. They are so creamy, long wearing and not in the least bit drying on your lips. While I have three of their lip products, I really regret not buying more! I have only bought the lipsticks, I still regret not buying the lip crayons and the Agave lip mask. While I haven’t tried these, I have read some really amazing reviews on both of these!!
Too Faced Cosmetics
Yes, I know we already have Too Faced Cosmetics here in Ireland, but the Just Peachy collection is limited edition in Sephora and there is no word of it coming to Ireland any time soon, or if at all! While the reviews on the Just peachy palette have been mixed, personally I think it is worth picking up a brush and swatching them yourself when you’re in sephora. This palette has the most beautiful collection of warm tone shadows that if it worked it would be a palette you could use for every occasion.
Sephora Favourites
Always, always, always buy Sephora Favourites! These are smaller versions of Sephora top-selling products all in one ridiculously reasonably priced box. Take the Give me some Nude lip box. You get 6 decent trial size lip products for $28. If you’re anything like me, trial size is perfect, as I rarely finish a lip product these days due to the fact I have so many!! The favourites boxes always tend to come in around this time of year thick and fast, so if you’re going stock up, as they don’t last on the shelves long!
It Cosmetics
It cosmetics is stocked in both Ulta and Sephora. Although some products can only be bought in Sephora and others in Ulta. So it is a bit of a pain!! There are two products I am going to recommend. One I have and adore and one I haven’t tried but Lorraine from John It’s only makeup raves about!
First up is the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under eye illumination full coverage concealer! This stuff is actually beyond incredible! A teeny tiny bit goes a very very long way and not only does it cover the darkest circles but it brightens up the under eye area too. I can’t tell you how much I love this concealer and I am notoriously hard on what makes a good concealer!!
Next up is the IT cosmetics CC cream. This is a colour correcting, moisture boosting, radiance giving product. So many bloggers have raved about this but you can read one of my favourite bloggers reviews here, to see for yourself.
Tarte
Why Tarte hasn’t landed in Ireland yet, absolutely baffles me!! They would make a killing launching over here! For now we will have to stock up when we go away! The products I am going to recommend, I haven’t tried but they are on my shopping list for when I go away!
First up the Tarteist Pro palette. Niamh from Nima Brush loves this and it is not hard to see why when you look at the colours. I mean look! Another palette is the Tartlet in Bloom palette. This is a firm favourite of Cherry Sue!
The clay eyeliner is another favourite of many beauty bloggers and looks incredibly black and long wearing. Another long wearing product is the Quick dry Matte lip paint!
