It wasn’t until I took this picture that I realised how much makeup I actually wear. So much for the “natural” look!
Face
Firstly I use my holy grail of foundation Éstee Lauder Double wear. I love this foundation. If you are looking for a foundation with lasting power then this is the foundation for you. However, if you have very dry skin I would avoid as it can cling to dry areas. To give a little bit of a dewy look I add some soleil tan de chanel illuminating fluid to my brow bone and cheek bones.
I apply Bobbi Brown corrector just under the eye. I use the shade Bisque. To hide my dark circles I use the Maybelline Eraser eye concealer. I apply this in a triangle under my eye, just like Kim Kardashians contouring routine. I blend it in using my Real Techniques Miricle complexion sponge. As I have very stubborn dark circles I also use the Éstee Lauder double wear concealer in shade 1, just where the dark circles are showing through. I pat this down using my ring finger.
Only put the concealer under the eye in the triangle shape. |
I have recently been setting my foundation with the Youngblood Rice powder in light. While I don’t really care for the smell of this ( it’s not bad I am just very sensitive to smell) I love how it sets my makeup. It is very light on the skin and it doesn’t give the caked look like some setting powders. To contour I use the HD brows bronzer in shade 2 and the the number 17 shimmer brick in rose to highlight. This shimmer brick is an exact dupe for the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick and a fraction of the price.
Eyes
I normally run Mac charcoal brown through my brows with an angled brush. This helps give the HD brow look. I set my brows using the Maybelline Brow Drama. I love this and it is well worth buying if you like to keep your brows in order.
Mac Blanc type, Amber lights and Embark. Painterly Paint pot and Bobbi Brown Smokey eye mascara |
I used all Mac eyeshadows. For primer I used Mac pro longwear paint pot in Painterly. This helps your eyeshadows stay on for longer and also makes them look more pigmented on the eye. On the lid I used Mac Blanc type, Amber Lights in the crease and Embark on the outer v. This is one of my favourite eyeshadow combinations. I used an angled brush and Mac fluidline in Blacktracks for liner and Bobbi Brown smokey eye mascara. This is only trial size and it gives your lashes great volume. I plan on buying the full size this weekend.
excuse my scar, it still hasn’t healed over yet |
Lips
Mac All Fired up. This was a limited edition Back to Matte lipstick.
Holy Lord that is some amount of makeup for a day look.
